Morning by morning, new mercies appear, reflecting the steadfast love of the Lord that never ceases and mercies that are new every morning.     Firstly, today is filled with new mercy and fresh grace. God has extended forgiveness for whatever occurred yesterday, providing a clean slate and a fresh opportunity. This day invites a new beginning, embraced by fresh grace and divine favor.   When the Manna Stops "The manna stopped the day after they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year they ate the produce of Canaan." – Joshua 5:12    God sustained the people with manna “what is it?” bread from heaven in the wilderness. Jesus later revealed Himself as the true Bread of Life from heaven. Yet once the people crossed the Jordan into the promised land, the manna ceased. Wilderness provision gave way to a new form of abundance.    God had cared for them even in the wilderness their shoes did not wear out, their clothes did not fail despite thoughts, words, and actions that were not always the highest and best.   It Was Supposed to Happen: Trusting Divine Order "What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open." – Revelation 3:7    As we look at the life of Elijah, we see a series of events unfolding in precise divine order. The famine, the brook, and Zarephath were not random occurrences, they were intentional movements orchestrated by God. Each season prepared Elijah for the next manifestation of God’s presence and provision.  The famine was supposed to happen . It was part of divine order. (Philippians 4:19) "But my God will supply all your needs according to God’s riches in glory through Christ Jesus."   Philippians 4:19 KSB    Philippians chapter 4 contains some of the most well-known promises in Scripture, and one of the most quoted is: “But my God shall supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” This powerful verse reminds us that God is faithful to meet our needs, but it also invites us to discern between wants, needs, and desires . 1. Wants    The lowest level of consciousness is want . Wants come from the ego, the flesh, the lesser version of ourselves. They are fueled by comparison, jealousy, envy, and strife.
