This Is a Brand New Day: Daily Mercy, Fresh Grace, and God’s Abundant Provision

This Is a Brand New Day

Sunrise over open Bible symbolizing God’s daily mercy and fresh grace

"Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, even the God of our salvation."  Psalm 68:19

This is a brand new day. As Psalm 68:19 declares, the Lord daily loads us with benefits. Yesterday has passed, and it cannot be retrieved or undone. Today, however, offers a fresh beginning. Morning by morning, new mercies appear, reflecting the steadfast love of the Lord that never ceases and mercies that are new every morning.

Firstly, today is filled with new mercy and fresh grace. God has extended forgiveness for whatever occurred yesterday, providing a clean slate and a fresh opportunity. This day invites a new beginning, embraced by fresh grace and divine favor. Yesterday is gone along with last week, last month, last year, or even decades past.

"Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." – Philippians 3:13–14

Bring yourself fully into the present moment. This is the day the Lord has made; rejoice and be glad in it. Each day carries fresh mercy and renewed grace designed specifically for today.

Secondly, every day is loaded with benefits, blessings, and lessons. The Lord does not recycle yesterday’s blessings. New blessings are assigned to this day. When you become fully present, the benefits and lessons God has prepared become available to receive.

Upon waking, this day is already equipped with everything you need. You are exactly where you are meant to be spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, financially, educationally, and vocationally. Take a deep breath. Release distractions. Embrace what God has planted in today for discovery, growth, and gratitude.

Thirdly, God provides daily bread. As we pray, “Give us this day our daily bread,” we are reminded that God supplies everything required to walk through today wisdom, strength, understanding, and provision. He supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Just as the children of Israel received fresh manna each day in the wilderness, God still provides fresh provision daily. Yesterday’s supply will not sustain today’s journey. Trust Him for today’s bread, knowing that His provision is abundant and sufficient.

Welcome to today. Every day brings new mercies, fresh grace, blessings, benefits, lessons, and daily provision. Embrace this present day fully. Let go of the past, receive what God is offering now, and walk forward with gratitude and trust in His faithful supply.

If this message encouraged you, share it with someone who needs the reminder that today is a gift from God.

📖 Reflection: What would change in your heart and mindset if you truly embraced today as God’s freshly prepared gift for you?

💡 Action Step: Begin your day with gratitude. Thank God aloud for today’s mercy, grace, and provision, and choose to live fully present.

Why am I having these relationship challenges? There’s an answer, and it’s the same one. Why am I having this financial challenge? There’s an answer! There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? There’s a Grace on Your Life

There’s a Grace on Your Life "By grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."    Ephesians 2:8 (KSB)    In Ephesians chapter 2, one word stands out repeatedly: grace . But what is grace? Grace is God’s unmerited favor, His love poured out on us, not based on anything we've done or failed to do. It’s not about what we think or don’t think. It’s simply a gift. A beautiful, divine surprise.  Imagine receiving an unexpected bonus at work, you did your job, and suddenly you're given more than you earned. That’s grace. It comes when you least expect it and fills you with joy and wonder. This is how God extends His grace freely, abundantly, and lovingly.  Throughout Ephesians 2, Paul highlights how grace is woven into our salvation. “By grace you are saved” means you didn’t do it yourself. Salvation is the awakening in your spirit to the truth that  you are God's beloved .   ...

Where Is the Love? Learning to Recognize God's Presence Through Galatians 5

Where Is the Love?    One of my favorite duets is by Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack: "Where Is the Love?" It asks, "Where is the love that you said you would give to me?" It's a timeless question and one that’s just as spiritually relevant today.    In Galatians 5 , Paul writes to the churches in Galatia about the contrast between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. He helps believers understand how to discern what’s truly of God. And here's the spiritual compass: love is God's signature . "And envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."   Galatians 5:21 (KSB)    Whatever you do whether it’s cooking a meal or making a major decision ask yourself: "Where is the love?" Is love your motive? Is love present in your tone, your actions, your intentions?  Paul’s letter urges us to determine whether we are operati...
