  Is It Really a Silent Night?  "When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour." – Revelation 8:1    People sing of a silent night , a holy night , where all is calm. Yet during the Christmas season with its hustle, bustle, shopping, parties, and gift exchanges, how much time do people actually take for silence?   Silent night… silent morning… silent afternoon. When do we pause long enough to experience true silence? Scripture reminds us, “The Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before the Divine.” Silence is not empty, it is sacred.    Silence offers a way to pray by listening rather than speaking. It allows space to hear God instead of filling every moment with words. “Be still and know that God is God.” In the busyness of the season, people are invited not to neglect the holy practice of silence. There are no coincidences everything unfolds exactly as intended within divine purpose. The steps of a good person are ordered by the Divine, and all things work together for good for those who love the Divine and live according to divine purpose.  Even thoughts, words, and actions that were not the highest and best can be transformed for good. This is why we speak peace to the winds, waves, and weather of life.
