  It Was Supposed to Happen: Trusting Divine Order "What He opens no one can shut, and what He shuts no one can open." – Revelation 3:7    As we look at the life of Elijah, we see a series of events unfolding in precise divine order. The famine, the brook, and Zarephath were not random occurrences, they were intentional movements orchestrated by God. Each season prepared Elijah for the next manifestation of God’s presence and provision.  The famine was supposed to happen . It was part of divine order. Through the famine, Elijah was directed to the Brook Cherith, where God sustained him with water from the brook and provision delivered by ravens bread and cooked flesh, morning and evening.
