Each season prepared Elijah for the next manifestation of God’s presence and provision. The famine was supposed to happen . It was part of divine order. Through the famine, Elijah was directed to the Brook Cherith, where God sustained him with water from the brook and provision delivered by ravens bread and cooked flesh, morning and evening.
