  God's Four Calls: Salvation, Study, Sanctification, and Service "And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth." – 1 Samuel 3:10    When Samuel heard God call his name, it was not a one-time event. God called Samuel repeatedly four times in total. In life, when someone calls your phone, you might send them to voicemail, reply with a quick text, or forward the call to someone else. But when God is calling, you cannot ignore it.
