My Heart Is Big Enough: Expanding in Love and Acceptance

My Heart Is Big Enough (1 Timothy 5:1–2) "Do not rebuke elders harshly, but treat them like fathers. Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity." – 1 Timothy 5:1–2 (KSB)    Your heart is big enough, and it is expanding. Your capacity to love is growing to the point where you can say, “Every man is my brother, every woman is my sister, every child is my child, and every person is my sibling of the universe.” You can grow in love, acceptance, and celebration of those who are different from you, regardless of their age, race, or gender.     Firstly, every man is your brother, every woman your sister, every child your child, and every person your sibling of the universe, regardless of educational level, socio-economic status, or orientation. Your heart can expand to embrace all people without limitation.     Secondly, your capacity to love extends beyond background...

Grateful for the Gatekeeper: Guarding Your Heart and Mind with Godly Wisdom (John 10:1–3)

Grateful for the Gatekeeper "Very truly I tell you, the one who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate but climbs in by some other way is a thief and a robber. The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for them, and the sheep listen to their shepherd’s voice. The shepherd calls their own sheep by name and leads them out." – John 10:1–3 (KSB)    Giving praise to God is essential for recognizing the bounty of mercy and truth that endures throughout all generations. God’s compassion sustains every generation, affirming that no matter the era whether baby boomers, Generation X, or Generation Z God’s mercy never runs out. Worship gathers us into unity, reminding us of God’s unending goodness.    In this season, we focus on Jesus as the “Pastor of pastors,” the ultimate Shepherd who leads with compassion. Jesus saw the crowds as sheep without a shepherd, revealing the deep need for care, guidance, a...

It's a timeless question and one that’s just as spiritually relevant today.    In Galatians 5 , Paul writes to the churches in Galatia about the contrast between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. He helps believers understand how to discern what’s truly of God. And here's the spiritual compass: love is God's signature . "And envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."   Galatians 5:21 (KSB)    Whatever you do whether it’s cooking a meal or making a major decision ask yourself: "Where is the love?" Is love your motive? Is love present in your tone, your actions, your intentions?  Paul’s letter urges us to determine whether we are operati...
