  Everlasting Principle and the Light of Christ (John 12:44–50) "I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness… whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak." – John 12:46, 50 (KJV)    As this passage reveals, divine principles always point humanity toward abundant and eternal life. These principles guide thoughts, words, and actions into their highest expression. Isaiah prophesied that a name would be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father.    The term everlasting means having no beginning and no ending. Eternal refers to that which has a beginning but no ending. Temporary describes that which has both a beginning and an ending.
