Increasing in Favor

"All the people took note and were pleased; indeed, everything the king did pleased them." – 2 Samuel 3:36

   Increasing in favor is the continual expansion of God's unearned grace and goodwill upon your life. It is a Kingdom blessing that opens doors no one can shut and creates opportunities that human effort alone cannot produce. Divine favor extends beyond material prosperity to include healthy relationships, spiritual growth, divine protection, influence, and God's abundant provision.

   Just as David continued to increase in favor despite conflict, misunderstanding, and opposition, God desires His people to experience continual growth in grace, influence, and purpose.

How to Increase in Favor

Firstly: Favor with God

   Favor with God is the foundation upon which every other form of favor is built. It is not earned through perfect performance, religious rituals, or human effort. It is received as a gracious gift from a loving Father.

   While life often operates according to the principle of sowing and reaping, God's favor reaches beyond what can be earned. His grace provides blessings that cannot always be explained by logic, mathematics, or natural circumstances.

   As your relationship with God deepens, your awareness of His favor grows. His presence provides wisdom, protection, peace, and direction, even during seasons of uncertainty. Favor does not eliminate every challenge, but it assures you that God is working for your good through every circumstance.

Secondly: Favor with Leaders

   As God's favor rests upon your life, it often becomes evident through the goodwill of leaders and decision-makers. God is able to open doors through employers, supervisors, teachers, mentors, government officials, ministry leaders, and others who are positioned to influence your future.

   Scripture reminds us that the hearts of rulers are in God's hands. He is able to guide decisions, create opportunities, and position His people for promotion according to His purpose.

   As you faithfully use your gifts with humility and integrity, God can place you before influential people who recognize your character, value your contribution, and encourage your growth.

Thirdly: Favor with the People

   God's favor also extends to everyday relationships. As His love shines through your life, people are often drawn to your kindness, integrity, and genuine concern for others.

   Favor with people creates meaningful connections, encourages healthy partnerships, and expands opportunities to serve others. Communities flourish when individuals choose generosity, encouragement, and mutual support.

   Rather than striving to earn everyone's approval, focus on reflecting God's character. Authentic favor grows naturally as your life consistently demonstrates wisdom, humility, compassion, and faithfulness.

   Increasing in favor is a lifelong journey of walking closely with God. As His grace shapes your character, favor grows with Him, extends to leaders, and influences the people around you.
