Community service feeding the hungry, providing clothing to those in need, offering shelter, and helping people through difficult circumstances is important and necessary. However, there is another dimension of outreach that reaches beyond physical assistance. The ultimate outreach occurs when individuals experience God reaching out to them personally.   Righteousness: Right Consciousness – Isaiah 64:6     What does it mean to be righteous? Righteousness is often understood as being morally perfect or doing everything correctly. But righteousness is much deeper than simply following a list of rules. Righteousness can be understood as right + consciousness  the awareness and development of a right consciousness that is aligned with God. "We have become like one who is unclean, and our righteousness is like filthy rags. The vision may seem delayed, the dream may appear distant, and the manifestation may not yet look anything like what you envisioned. Yet Isaiah 62:7 gives us a powerful spiritual instruction: keep going.
