This Joy I Have: Experiencing Unspeakable Joy Beyond Circumstances

This Joy I Have: Living in Unspeakable Joy

"Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory." – 1 Peter 1:8

Light and shadow contrast representing joy versus temporary happiness

Joy is not just an emotion, it is a spiritual state of being. It exists beyond circumstances, rooted in a deep and unshakable knowing of God's goodness. Unlike fleeting feelings, this joy remains constant, anchored in the super-conscious awareness of divine truth.

According to Scripture, this joy is “unspeakable and full of glory,” meaning it transcends human explanation. It is not based on what we see, but on what we believe.

Firstly: The Foundation of the Kingdom. The kingdom of God operates through a divine flow righteousness, peace, and joy. When you are aligned with God (righteousness), you experience inner calm (peace), which ultimately leads to overflowing joy. Joy is not random, it is the result of spiritual alignment.

Secondly: The Nature of Happiness. Happiness is rooted in external circumstances. It is a “because of” emotion because something good happened, you feel glad. While happiness is a blessing, it is temporary and dependent on what is happening around you.

Thirdly: The Distinction of Joy. Joy is different, it is an “in spite of” reality. Even in difficult times, joy remains. As a fruit of the Spirit, it flows from within and provides strength to endure challenges while maintaining love, hope, and faith.

Fourthly: Knowing Who You Are. There is a difference between what you have and who you are. You may have happiness, but you are joy. This identity is grounded in the truth that all things are working together for your good, because of God’s love.

Fifthly: The Power of Rejoicing. Rejoicing is the outward expression of inward joy. It is joy repeated again and again until it overflows. Whether through praise, dancing, clapping, or tears, rejoicing is a natural demonstration of the Spirit at work within you.

Joy was never meant to be hidden, it is meant to be expressed. When joy fills your spirit, it must find a way to manifest in your life.

In conclusion, the journey of faith leads from temporary happiness into eternal joy. While happiness depends on circumstances, joy is rooted in God’s unchanging nature. It is your strength, your identity, and your inheritance as a child of God.

When this joy becomes full, it overflows into rejoicing a celebration of God’s goodness that cannot be contained.

   This Joy Is:

   • Rooted in righteousness

   • Sustained by peace

   • Independent of circumstances

   • Expressed through rejoicing

   • Your true identity

📖 Reflection: Are you depending on happiness from circumstances, or living from the deep well of joy within?

💡 Action Step: Take a moment today to rejoice intentionally—clap, smile, or give thanks—and activate the joy that already lives within you.

Refocus Your Faith: How to Overcome Distraction, Disappointment, and Discouragement

Refocus Your Faith: How to Overcome Distraction, Disappointment, and Discouragement "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love."   Galatians 5:6 (KSB)    With everything going on around us, it's easy to feel lost. Distractions come quickly, disappointments pile up, and discouragement sneaks in. We all face these moments. But even when we get off track, there is a way back and that path is through our faith, principles, and core values.  When you live your life anchored in principles, it gives you a compass for when the road gets unclear. Knowing your vision, your mission, and your core values makes it easier to realign when life feels out of control. But if you don’t know who you are, how can you get back to being your best self? If you don’t know what you stand on, what can you stand up on after a fall?    Clarity of purpose keeps you ...
Why Me? God’s Glory (Romans 8:18) Why? That's a question often in our Souls. Why is this happening to me? Why am I having this experience? Why am I facing this health challenge? There's an answer! Why am I having these relationship challenges? There’s an answer, and it’s the same one. Why am I having this financial challenge? There’s an answer! There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? So God can get the...

There’s a Grace on Your Life

There’s a Grace on Your Life "By grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."    Ephesians 2:8 (KSB)    In Ephesians chapter 2, one word stands out repeatedly: grace . But what is grace? Grace is God’s unmerited favor, His love poured out on us, not based on anything we've done or failed to do. It’s not about what we think or don’t think. It’s simply a gift. A beautiful, divine surprise.  Imagine receiving an unexpected bonus at work, you did your job, and suddenly you're given more than you earned. That’s grace. It comes when you least expect it and fills you with joy and wonder. This is how God extends His grace freely, abundantly, and lovingly.  Throughout Ephesians 2, Paul highlights how grace is woven into our salvation. “By grace you are saved” means you didn’t do it yourself. Salvation is the awakening in your spirit to the truth that  you are God's beloved .   ...
