The Golden Rule: Effective Immediately — A Christ-Centered Call to Love All

Diverse people united together symbolizing love across different beliefs and backgrounds

"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me… and I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheepfold. I must bring them also." – John 10:14-16

Jesus’ profound declaration as the Good Shepherd reveals a love that is inclusive, immediate, and unconditional. His teaching aligns perfectly with the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” This is not a future assignment, it is a present command. Love is meant to be expressed effective immediately.

This call to love represents a shift in consciousness. It moves beyond limitation, beyond group identity, and into a divine awareness that all people are created in the image and likeness of God. Jesus reminds us that there are “other sheep” not of this fold yet they still belong to God.

1. Love Begins Within the Household of Faith

The first expression of the Golden Rule begins within our own faith community. We are called to love one another deeply, both in local assemblies and across the global Body of Christ.

This starts with Thinking, our thoughts. We must intentionally release judgment, criticism, and division, replacing them with love. Loving others is not a struggle; it is a decision. When we choose love, we align with the I AM presence within us all.

2. Love Extends Beyond Religious Boundaries

Jesus made it clear that God’s love is not confined to one group. There are sheep outside of every fold, and they too are under divine care.

Whether someone identifies as Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, or any other faith, they are still worthy of love and respect. Truth is not confined to a single expression. If a path leads someone to love, growth, and purpose, it is serving a divine function.

Loving across beliefs does not require agreement, it requires respect and recognition of the divine in others.

3. Love Includes Those Without Faith

The Golden Rule does not exclude anyone not even those who claim no faith at all. Love must be expressed through Treatment, our actions toward others.

Even those who identify as atheists or choose a different path are still part of God’s creation. Every individual is on a unique journey of soul unfoldment. Respecting that journey is an expression of Christ consciousness.

Love does not discriminate, it demonstrates. It shows up in kindness, compassion, and grace regardless of belief.

Conclusion: Love Without Delay

The message of Christ is clear: love is not delayed, it is effective immediately. Just as Jesus fulfilled His purpose regardless of differing opinions, we too are called to walk in love without hesitation.

As we expand our consciousness, we begin to see God everywhere in every person, every place, and every experience. This awareness empowers us to live the Golden Rule fully, freely, and faithfully.

Let love be your immediate response. Let it guide your thoughts, shape your words, and direct your actions. In doing so, you reflect the heart of the Good Shepherd and fulfill your divine purpose.

📖 Reflection: Who in your life is God calling you to love more intentionally and immediately, regardless of differences?

💡 Action Step: Today, intentionally show kindness to someone outside your usual circle—through a word, action, or gesture of love.

Why Me? God’s Glory (Romans 8:18) Why? That's a question often in our Souls. Why is this happening to me? Why am I having this experience? Why am I facing this health challenge? There's an answer! Why am I having these relationship challenges? There’s an answer, and it’s the same one. Why am I having this financial challenge? There’s an answer! There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? So God can get the...
The Sacred Sunday Posture:  Kneeling “ A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees; if you are willing, you can make me clean (Mark 1:40).” In addition to bowing your heads and closing your eyes, many people learn to “get on your knees and pray.” Often, it’s at night before going to sleep. Parents instruct their children to kneel on the side of the bed and say their prayers. Perhaps you have fond memories of kneeling and reciting the Lord’s Prayer or the 23 rd Psalm. Or maybe you were taught, like me, “Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake. I pray the Lord, my soul, to take. God bless mommy, daddy...” Kneeling is a physical way to revere God as your Creator and remember that God is your Source. “Know that it is the Lord, who is God. It is he that has made us and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture (Psalm 100:3).” Without reverencing and ...

Where Is the Love? Learning to Recognize God's Presence Through Galatians 5

Where Is the Love?    One of my favorite duets is by Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack: "Where Is the Love?" It asks, "Where is the love that you said you would give to me?" It's a timeless question and one that’s just as spiritually relevant today.    In Galatians 5 , Paul writes to the churches in Galatia about the contrast between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. He helps believers understand how to discern what’s truly of God. And here's the spiritual compass: love is God's signature . "And envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."   Galatians 5:21 (KSB)    Whatever you do whether it’s cooking a meal or making a major decision ask yourself: "Where is the love?" Is love your motive? Is love present in your tone, your actions, your intentions?  Paul’s letter urges us to determine whether we are operati...
