It’s a System: Understanding God’s Kingdom vs the World’s System

"Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then would My servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is My kingdom not from here." – John 18:36

Spiritual systems concept showing interconnected parts working together

Life is not random, chaotic, or isolated, it is structured. Everything we experience operates within a system. When Jesus declared that His Kingdom is not of this world, He was revealing a profound truth: there are different systems at work, and each produces its own results.

A system is a set of people, places, or things working together to produce a specific outcome. Nothing meaningful in life operates alone. From the human body to society itself, everything functions through interconnected parts designed to achieve a purpose.

This truth calls us to shift our thinking from seeing life as separate events to recognizing the greater systems we are part of daily.

The Ubiquity of Systems in Everyday Life

Systems are everywhere. Your body operates through biological systems like the respiratory and reproductive systems. Your relationships form personal systems such as family and friendships. Society itself runs through structured systems like education, government, and business.

Even a car or the ocean functions as a system. When you begin to understand this, your awareness expands. You stop thinking in isolation and start recognizing patterns, connections, and outcomes.

The Three Primary Systems on Earth

There are three dominant systems operating in human experience: the World, the Church, and the Kingdom.

The Kingdom is a theocratic system where God is the absolute center and authority. Everything flows from His nature, His truth, and His order.

The World operates through what can be described as E.G.O. Edging God Out. It is a system of thinking and living that removes God from influence.

The Church often functions as a bridge a place where people transition from the world and grow into Kingdom understanding. However, it can also reflect a mixture of both systems.

   Why Systems Cannot Mix

Jesus made it clear: His Kingdom operates differently. If it were of this world, His followers would fight. But they did not because the Kingdom does not function through violence, fear, or retaliation.

The Kingdom and the World are polar opposites. When you try to combine them, frustration follows. Many struggles arise because people attempt to apply worldly methods to Kingdom living.

   How a System Functions Effectively

For a system to work, all its parts must be in alignment. When two people agree in prayer, they form a functioning system. When every part works together, results are produced.

When something breaks down, it is often because one part is out of sync with the intended outcome. Alignment determines effectiveness.

   Aligning with the Kingdom System

The Kingdom produces a distinct result: health, harmony, and true prosperity. But these results require full participation in the system.

This means aligning your thinking, speaking, seeing, and behavior with Kingdom principles. It requires letting go of worldly patterns and even religious habits that do not reflect God’s truth.

You cannot experience Kingdom results with a divided system. Wholeness produces wholeness.

   Conclusion

Life is a system and it is always producing results. When you understand that God’s Kingdom is a higher system, you begin to live differently. You move beyond struggle and into alignment.

Success is found when every part of your life people, places, and choices works together according to God’s design. When your system aligns with His, the outcome will always be good.

📖 Reflection: Are there areas in your life where you are mixing systems instead of fully aligning with God’s Kingdom?

💡 Action Step: Identify one area (thoughts, words, or actions) and intentionally bring it into alignment with Kingdom principles this week.

Refocus Your Faith: How to Overcome Distraction, Disappointment, and Discouragement

Refocus Your Faith: How to Overcome Distraction, Disappointment, and Discouragement "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love."   Galatians 5:6 (KSB)    With everything going on around us, it's easy to feel lost. Distractions come quickly, disappointments pile up, and discouragement sneaks in. We all face these moments. But even when we get off track, there is a way back and that path is through our faith, principles, and core values.  When you live your life anchored in principles, it gives you a compass for when the road gets unclear. Knowing your vision, your mission, and your core values makes it easier to realign when life feels out of control. But if you don’t know who you are, how can you get back to being your best self? If you don’t know what you stand on, what can you stand up on after a fall?    Clarity of purpose keeps you ...

Universe Means One Thing: Love

Universe Means One Thing: Love "For all the law is fulfilled in this one word, love: Love your neighbor as yourself."   Galatians 5:14 (KSB)    Sometimes, the word “universe” can feel mysterious even spooky to some. Others think it's irreverent or sacrilegious when used in spiritual conversations. But what if we redefined it? What if “universe” simply meant love? What if it meant God, since God is love?  When we say, “the universe,” we can think of it as pointing to one word love. Just one word. The entire Bible, composed of 66 books and written by over 40 different authors, ultimately speaks to one central theme: love. From beginning to end, this divine book points us toward loving God, loving ourselves, and loving others.  In the Old Testament, God's people had 636 laws civil, ceremonial, and moral. They guided everything from relationships to religious festivals. But then Jesus came and said, “Let me make this simple Love God. Love yourself. L...
