God’s Government: Living Under the Kingdom Rule of God

Crown representing God's authority and divine rulership

"Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if My kingdom were of this world, then would My servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is My kingdom not from hence." – John 18:36

When Jesus declared that His Kingdom is not of this world, He revealed a powerful truth: God operates through a different government. This divine government is not political or geographical, it is spiritual. It is the realm where God rules and reigns in the hearts and lives of His people.

God’s government is the Kingdom of God the King’s domain. It is not a place you travel to, but a state of being where your thinking, speaking, and actions are governed by God’s truth rather than emotions, culture, or circumstance.

The Five Pillars of a Governed Life

   1. The Law of Love

At the center of God’s government is love. This is the highest law the foundation upon which everything else stands. To live under divine rule is to love God fully and to love others as yourself. Love is not optional; it is the defining characteristic of those who belong to the Kingdom.

Every action, decision, and response must flow from this law. Love is the standard.

   2. Rejecting the Monarchy of Others

Many people unknowingly live under a personal "monarchy," where someone or something else sits on the throne of their heart. This could be a person, money, or even painful past experiences.

To enter God’s government, you must remove every false ruler. Through forgiveness and grace, you reclaim your heart and place God back at the center.

   3. Uprooting the Democracy of Opinion

Some live by the "democracy" of opinions constantly seeking validation from others before making decisions. This dependence on external voices can weaken your connection with God.

Living under God’s government means trusting Him fully. Instead of polling opinions, you lean on His wisdom and allow Him to direct your path.

   4. Establishing the Theocracy

A theocracy is government by God. This is the highest form of spiritual living, where God has the final authority in every area of life.

It means giving Him your first your time, your resources, and your will. It is a daily decision to say, "Not my will, but Yours be done."

   5. The Benefits of Divine Rule

When you live under God’s government, something powerful happens God takes responsibility for your life. He provides, protects, and positions you according to His perfect will.

This divine order produces health, harmony, and true prosperity. As you seek the Kingdom first, everything else begins to align.

   Conclusion

Choosing God’s government is a conscious decision. It means stepping away from being ruled by emotions, people, or societal expectations and allowing God to reign fully in your life.

When God is at the center, your life reflects His nature love, joy, and peace. This is the evidence that you are living under the perfect government of the King of Kings.

📖 Reflection: Who or what currently has the greatest influence over your decisions—God or something else?

💡 Action Step: Take time today to surrender one area of your life fully to God and invite His rule over it.

Refocus Your Faith: How to Overcome Distraction, Disappointment, and Discouragement

Refocus Your Faith: How to Overcome Distraction, Disappointment, and Discouragement "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love."   Galatians 5:6 (KSB)    With everything going on around us, it's easy to feel lost. Distractions come quickly, disappointments pile up, and discouragement sneaks in. We all face these moments. But even when we get off track, there is a way back and that path is through our faith, principles, and core values.  When you live your life anchored in principles, it gives you a compass for when the road gets unclear. Knowing your vision, your mission, and your core values makes it easier to realign when life feels out of control. But if you don’t know who you are, how can you get back to being your best self? If you don’t know what you stand on, what can you stand up on after a fall?    Clarity of purpose keeps you ...

Universe Means One Thing: Love

Universe Means One Thing: Love "For all the law is fulfilled in this one word, love: Love your neighbor as yourself."   Galatians 5:14 (KSB)    Sometimes, the word “universe” can feel mysterious even spooky to some. Others think it's irreverent or sacrilegious when used in spiritual conversations. But what if we redefined it? What if “universe” simply meant love? What if it meant God, since God is love?  When we say, “the universe,” we can think of it as pointing to one word love. Just one word. The entire Bible, composed of 66 books and written by over 40 different authors, ultimately speaks to one central theme: love. From beginning to end, this divine book points us toward loving God, loving ourselves, and loving others.  In the Old Testament, God's people had 636 laws civil, ceremonial, and moral. They guided everything from relationships to religious festivals. But then Jesus came and said, “Let me make this simple Love God. Love yourself. L...
Why Me? God’s Glory (Romans 8:18) Why? That's a question often in our Souls. Why is this happening to me? Why am I having this experience? Why am I facing this health challenge? There's an answer! Why am I having these relationship challenges? There’s an answer, and it’s the same one. Why am I having this financial challenge? There’s an answer! There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? So God can get the...
