Stick with the Process: From Barrenness to Breakthrough

"The angel of the Lord appeared to her and said, ‘You are barren and childless, but you are going to become pregnant and give birth to a son.’" – Judges 13:3

Life often places us in seasons where nothing seems to be working. We pray, we hope, and we wait, yet the answers appear delayed. Judges 13:3 reminds us that God is still in the business of turning impossible situations into testimonies. The story of Samson’s mother teaches us a powerful lesson about persistence, faith, and trusting God’s divine process.

Sticking with the process means remaining faithful even when your current condition does not match God’s promise. It is the spiritual journey from emptiness to fulfillment, from lack to abundance, and from barrenness to manifestation.

1. Barren

The process begins with barrenness. Samson’s mother was described as barren and childless, meaning she lacked the ability to produce what she desired naturally. Barrenness can represent many things in our lives. It may look like unanswered prayers, delayed dreams, financial struggles, a stagnant business, a struggling marriage, or emotional exhaustion.

However, barrenness is not a permanent condition when God is involved. God is not intimidated by what appears impossible to man. Your current situation does not cancel His promise over your life. Even when you cannot see results, you must continue trusting God because He specializes in bringing life into dry places.

Sometimes, the greatest miracles begin in the most hopeless situations. What seems empty today may become tomorrow’s testimony if you refuse to give up.

2. Pregnant

The second phase is pregnancy. After the announcement came the process of carrying the promise. Spiritually, pregnancy represents carrying divine possibilities within you. God places dreams, visions, ministries, and ideas inside His children long before they become visible realities.

This stage requires patience, nurturing, and unwavering faith. Just like a natural pregnancy develops in stages, spiritual promises also require time to mature. During this phase, doubt, fear, and discouragement may try to attack your faith, but you must believe that what God has planted in you will not miscarry.

You may be carrying the seed of a promotion, a business idea, a ministry assignment, healing, restoration, or a new beginning. Do not abandon the process simply because manifestation has not yet arrived. God is working behind the scenes.

3. Birth

The final stage of the process is birth. Birth represents manifestation, the moment when what God promised becomes reality. Samson’s mother eventually gave birth to the son that God promised her, proving that God’s word never fails.

Many people celebrate the manifestation without understanding the pain, patience, and persistence required during the process. Birth is evidence that you stayed faithful through every season. It is the visible proof that God has completed the work He started in your life.

Your dream can come to life. Your prayers can be answered. Your season of waiting can turn into a season of rejoicing. If God promised it, He is faithful to perform it.

Conclusion

Sticking with the process is not always easy, but it is necessary for spiritual growth and manifestation. God can transform barren places into fruitful testimonies. Whether you feel stuck in your finances, health, relationships, career, or personal goals, do not lose heart.

The same God who spoke life into Samson’s mother’s situation is still working today. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting His timing. Your current condition is not your final destination. What God has begun in your life, He is able to complete.

Stick with the process because your breakthrough is closer than you think.

📖 Reflection: What area of your life feels barren right now, and how can you continue trusting God through the process?

💡 Action Step: Spend time this week praying over the promises God has placed in your heart and declare by faith that they will come to full manifestation.

Why Me? God’s Glory (Romans 8:18) Why? That's a question often in our Souls. Why is this happening to me? Why am I having this experience? Why am I facing this health challenge? There's an answer! Why am I having these relationship challenges? There’s an answer, and it’s the same one. Why am I having this financial challenge? There’s an answer! There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? So God can get the...
The Sacred Sunday Posture:  Kneeling “ A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees; if you are willing, you can make me clean (Mark 1:40).” In addition to bowing your heads and closing your eyes, many people learn to “get on your knees and pray.” Often, it’s at night before going to sleep. Parents instruct their children to kneel on the side of the bed and say their prayers. Perhaps you have fond memories of kneeling and reciting the Lord’s Prayer or the 23 rd Psalm. Or maybe you were taught, like me, “Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake. I pray the Lord, my soul, to take. God bless mommy, daddy...” Kneeling is a physical way to revere God as your Creator and remember that God is your Source. “Know that it is the Lord, who is God. It is he that has made us and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture (Psalm 100:3).” Without reverencing and ...

Hidden Treasure: You Are a Vessel, Not Just an Instrument

I AM Not an Instrument. I AM a Vessel “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” – 2 Corinthians 4:7 (KSB) Hidden in Plain Sight The image that Paul presents in 2 Corinthians 4 is that of a treasure hidden within an earthen vessel. In the Old Testament, people didn’t have locks, alarm systems, or cameras to protect their valuables. Instead, their belongings were often left exposed, making them vulnerable to thieves and robbers. To safeguard their most valuable treasures, they would hide them in jars of clay—earthen vessels—placing them in plain sight. A thief or robber would never think to look there because it wasn’t an obvious hiding place. Likewise, God has placed something valuable inside of you—a treasure of great worth. Yet, people often fail to see it. You may be right in front of them, but they don’t recognize your gifts, skills, talents, anointing, abilities, or sensitivities. You are hidden in plain sight bec...
