I Am Already Loved: Overcoming the Lie of Rejection Through the Holy Spirit

Person praying in sunlight representing being loved by God

"For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, 'Abba, Father.'"
– Romans 8:15

Truth declares: I AM already loved. Yet the lie persists: You will never be loved. This false belief can quietly shape thoughts, relationships, and identity. But the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, continually calls us back to a greater reality we are God’s beloved offspring, fully accepted and eternally loved.

The Holy Spirit serves as the ultimate Truth Revealer, reminding us that we are not bound to fear or rejection. Instead, we are adopted into divine love. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work within us, bringing a spiritual quickening an awakening that restores purpose, identity, and life itself.

This awakening is not a one-time moment, but a continuous gift. Whenever life feels empty or heavy, the Holy Spirit breathes new life into our consciousness, reminding us again and again: you are already loved.

Firstly, Everlasting Love is revealed through the constant presence of the Holy Spirit. Just as Jesus was raised by the Spirit, we too are sustained by that same eternal power. Whether called the Spirit of Christ, the Holy Ghost, or the Breath of Life, it is one divine presence renewing us daily. This connection ensures that love is never absent, even in life’s quiet or uncertain moments.

Secondly, Perfect Love restores the heart. Life experiences such as loss, rejection, or pain can harden the heart, but the Holy Spirit gently revives it. Like a divine restoration, the Spirit clears away bitterness, fear, and shame, allowing love to flow freely again toward God, toward oneself, and toward others.

Thirdly, Unconditional Love empowers us to give life to others. Just as CPR restores physical breath, the Spirit enables us to spiritually uplift those who feel forgotten or broken. This love looks beyond judgment and sees divine potential in every person. It reflects the Spirit of adoption, replacing fear with freedom and separation with belonging.

Fourthly, Universal Love flows outward into every area of life. The Spirit within is not meant to remain hidden, it is meant to bring life to relationships, purpose, and even the body itself. As heirs with Christ, we may experience challenges, but we are also called to experience glory, knowing that God’s love is available everywhere, at all times.

In conclusion, the journey of faith moves us from fear into freedom from striving for love into resting in it. The truth is unchanging: you are already loved. The Holy Spirit continues to awaken this reality within you, empowering you to live with purpose, confidence, and compassion.

Step out of the lie of rejection and into the truth of divine identity. You are not searching for love you are living from it.

📖 Reflection: In what areas of your life have you believed the lie that you are not loved?

💡 Action Step: Speak this truth daily: “I am already loved by God,” and intentionally show that same love to someone else this week.

Why Me? God’s Glory (Romans 8:18) Why? That's a question often in our Souls. Why is this happening to me? Why am I having this experience? Why am I facing this health challenge? There's an answer! Why am I having these relationship challenges? There’s an answer, and it’s the same one. Why am I having this financial challenge? There’s an answer! There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? So God can get the...
The Sacred Sunday Posture:  Kneeling “ A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees; if you are willing, you can make me clean (Mark 1:40).” In addition to bowing your heads and closing your eyes, many people learn to “get on your knees and pray.” Often, it’s at night before going to sleep. Parents instruct their children to kneel on the side of the bed and say their prayers. Perhaps you have fond memories of kneeling and reciting the Lord’s Prayer or the 23 rd Psalm. Or maybe you were taught, like me, “Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake. I pray the Lord, my soul, to take. God bless mommy, daddy...” Kneeling is a physical way to revere God as your Creator and remember that God is your Source. “Know that it is the Lord, who is God. It is he that has made us and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture (Psalm 100:3).” Without reverencing and ...

Where Is the Love? Learning to Recognize God's Presence Through Galatians 5

Where Is the Love?    One of my favorite duets is by Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack: "Where Is the Love?" It asks, "Where is the love that you said you would give to me?" It's a timeless question and one that’s just as spiritually relevant today.    In Galatians 5 , Paul writes to the churches in Galatia about the contrast between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. He helps believers understand how to discern what’s truly of God. And here's the spiritual compass: love is God's signature . "And envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."   Galatians 5:21 (KSB)    Whatever you do whether it’s cooking a meal or making a major decision ask yourself: "Where is the love?" Is love your motive? Is love present in your tone, your actions, your intentions?  Paul’s letter urges us to determine whether we are operati...
