All God’s Children: One Father, One Family, One Divine Source

All God’s Children: One Father, One Family, One Divine Source

"One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." – Ephesians 4:6

From a Kingdom perspective, every human being is God’s beloved offspring. This understanding differs from some traditional teachings that suggest individuals become children of God only after salvation, baptism, or being born again. Instead, the Kingdom view affirms that everyone has always been God’s child.

All people are spiritual beings created in the image and likeness of God perfect, whole, and complete in their true nature. This divine identity applies to all humanity, all creation, and all life forms.

Created Human and Divine

Humanity reflects both earth and heaven. Scripture tells us that God formed humanity from the dust of the ground and breathed into humanity the breath of life. The earth provides the physical aspect, while the breath of God imparts divinity.

You are both spiritual and physical. You are inseparably connected to God always have been, always are, and always will be. There has never been a moment when you were outside of divine presence.

One Power, One Presence

There is only one God the Father of all who is above all, through all, and in all. There is not a competing power equal to God. There is only one omnipotent presence: God, the good.

Because there is one Father, all people are brothers and sisters. This unity transcends gender, ethnicity, and status. In Christ, there is neither male nor female, Jew nor Greek, bond nor free. All are one in divine origin and spiritual essence.

The Parable of Unchanging Paternity

To illustrate this eternal truth, consider the parable found in Luke 15:11–32, often called the Parable of the Prodigal Son or the man with two sons. This story demonstrates that no condition, circumstance, or failure can change one’s identity as the Father’s beloved offspring.

First, the younger son lived in the father’s house, representing conscious oneness and relationship. Even when he requested his inheritance early, he remained the beloved son.

Second, he journeyed into a far country and squandered his inheritance in reckless living. Even in physical distance and spiritual forgetfulness away from prayer, worship, study, or community he was still the father’s son. Location does not change paternity.

Third, when he found himself in the pigpen facing hardship, lack, and humiliation he still recognized his identity. He arose and returned to his father. Notice: the father never disowned him, never removed his inheritance, and never altered his sonship.

At any moment, one can arise and return to right relationship because divine love never withdraws. The Father never writes anyone out of the will.

Even the Faithful Son

The older son, who worked faithfully in the field yet struggled with jealousy, resentment, and bitterness, also remained the father’s child. Even thoughts and emotions that fall short of our highest expression do not cancel divine identity.

No one “became” God’s child at some later point. God has always been Father. You have always been beloved. Nothing can sever what was established in divine origin.

Ephesians 4:6 reminds us: One God. One Father. One Family. Above all. Through all. In all.

📖 Reflection: If every person you encounter is already God’s beloved child, how would that change the way you see and treat them?

💡 Action Step: This week, intentionally view someone difficult or different from you as your spiritual sibling and respond from unity instead of separation.

Why Me? God’s Glory (Romans 8:18) Why? That's a question often in our Souls. Why is this happening to me? Why am I having this experience? Why am I facing this health challenge? There's an answer! Why am I having these relationship challenges? There’s an answer, and it’s the same one. Why am I having this financial challenge? There’s an answer! There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? So God can get the...
The Sacred Sunday Posture:  Kneeling “ A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees; if you are willing, you can make me clean (Mark 1:40).” In addition to bowing your heads and closing your eyes, many people learn to “get on your knees and pray.” Often, it’s at night before going to sleep. Parents instruct their children to kneel on the side of the bed and say their prayers. Perhaps you have fond memories of kneeling and reciting the Lord’s Prayer or the 23 rd Psalm. Or maybe you were taught, like me, “Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake. I pray the Lord, my soul, to take. God bless mommy, daddy...” Kneeling is a physical way to revere God as your Creator and remember that God is your Source. “Know that it is the Lord, who is God. It is he that has made us and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture (Psalm 100:3).” Without reverencing and ...

Where Is the Love? Learning to Recognize God's Presence Through Galatians 5

Where Is the Love?    One of my favorite duets is by Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack: "Where Is the Love?" It asks, "Where is the love that you said you would give to me?" It's a timeless question and one that’s just as spiritually relevant today.    In Galatians 5 , Paul writes to the churches in Galatia about the contrast between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. He helps believers understand how to discern what’s truly of God. And here's the spiritual compass: love is God's signature . "And envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."   Galatians 5:21 (KSB)    Whatever you do whether it’s cooking a meal or making a major decision ask yourself: "Where is the love?" Is love your motive? Is love present in your tone, your actions, your intentions?  Paul’s letter urges us to determine whether we are operati...
