It’s Already Yours: Activating Faith Through Works

It’s Already Yours (James 2:26)

"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." – James 2:26 (KJV)

It’s already yours. Affirm it: It is already mine. It is already yours. It is already ours. The inheritance, the birthright, the blessing, it is already yours. There is no need to beg, borrow, steal, bargain, or barter. All the benefits of God are already yours because each person is God’s beloved offspring, created in the image and likeness of God. It has always been yours. As a spiritual being, it already exists in the heavenly realm. The work is not to get it, earn it, or make it yours, the work is to activate it. What already exists in the spiritual realm must be brought into the earthly realm, from the invisible to the visible, from the intangible to the tangible. Wonder powers activate. That is the work.

Firstly: Availability

All of God is available wisdom, knowledge, understanding, love, joy, peace, health, harmony in relationships, and wealth. Affirm it: All that God is available to me. God’s nature and character are fully accessible. Each person partakes of the divine nature and receives exceeding great and precious promises.

Not only is all that God is available, but all that God has is available. No part of God is inaccessible. Access is granted. “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein” (Psalm 24:1).

Jesus demonstrated this complete access. He said, “Father, I thank You that You always hear Me.” Gratitude affirmed availability. He taught, “Ask and it shall be given; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened.” It is the Sovereign’s good pleasure to give the kingdom. Availability exists right here and right now.

Secondly: Acceptance

Even though all of God is available, acceptance is essential. Many reject God’s good because of guilt, shame, unworthiness, or past mistakes. Thoughts, words, or actions from the past do not disqualify anyone from good today.

Affirm it boldly: No action from my past disqualifies me from my good right here and now. Each person remains God’s beloved offspring, fully accepted in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:6). Morning by morning, new mercies appear.

Release self-sabotage. Let go of guilt, shame, and condemnation. Accept grace, mercy, forgiveness, the lesson, and the blessing. This day carries fresh benefits, for the Sovereign daily loads us with benefits. Accept the good today.

Thirdly: Activation

Even when something is available and accepted, it must be activated. Spiritual practices do not create worthiness, worthiness already exists. These practices simply activate what is already yours.

Consider a credit card arriving in the mail. Approval exists. Acceptance occurs when the application is completed. Yet the card still must be activated before it can be used. The same is true spiritually.

Prayer activates. Meditation activates. Stillness and silence activate. Forgiveness activates. Thanksgiving, praise, and worship activate. Reading, studying, journaling, giving, witnessing, and sharing activate. These are not religious rituals to earn worthiness, they are kingdom practices that awaken consciousness.

James reminds us that faith without works is dead. Works bring faith to life. Thoughts, words, and actions aligned with kingdom principles activate the good already possessed. Activate to benefit today.

Conclusion

It is already yours. Availability exists. Acceptance follows. Activation through works releases benefit. Wonder powers activate through daily kingdom practices. Activate consciousness. Activate the good in your life.

It is already mine. It is already yours. It is already ours.

They Work Together (James 2:26):
   1. Body and Spirit
   2. Faith and Works
   3. Sin and Grace

📖 Reflection: Where in your life do you know something is already yours, but you have not yet activated it?

💡 Action Step: Choose one spiritual practice today—p

Why Me? God’s Glory (Romans 8:18) Why? That's a question often in our Souls. Why is this happening to me? Why am I having this experience? Why am I facing this health challenge? There's an answer! Why am I having these relationship challenges? There’s an answer, and it’s the same one. Why am I having this financial challenge? There’s an answer! There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? So God can get the...
The Sacred Sunday Posture:  Kneeling “ A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees; if you are willing, you can make me clean (Mark 1:40).” In addition to bowing your heads and closing your eyes, many people learn to “get on your knees and pray.” Often, it’s at night before going to sleep. Parents instruct their children to kneel on the side of the bed and say their prayers. Perhaps you have fond memories of kneeling and reciting the Lord’s Prayer or the 23 rd Psalm. Or maybe you were taught, like me, “Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake. I pray the Lord, my soul, to take. God bless mommy, daddy...” Kneeling is a physical way to revere God as your Creator and remember that God is your Source. “Know that it is the Lord, who is God. It is he that has made us and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture (Psalm 100:3).” Without reverencing and ...

Where Is the Love? Learning to Recognize God's Presence Through Galatians 5

Where Is the Love?    One of my favorite duets is by Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack: "Where Is the Love?" It asks, "Where is the love that you said you would give to me?" It's a timeless question and one that’s just as spiritually relevant today.    In Galatians 5 , Paul writes to the churches in Galatia about the contrast between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. He helps believers understand how to discern what’s truly of God. And here's the spiritual compass: love is God's signature . "And envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."   Galatians 5:21 (KSB)    Whatever you do whether it’s cooking a meal or making a major decision ask yourself: "Where is the love?" Is love your motive? Is love present in your tone, your actions, your intentions?  Paul’s letter urges us to determine whether we are operati...
