I Call It Like I See It: Anointed Perception and Overflowing Reality
"You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows." – Psalm 23:5
I call it like I see it. Psalm 23 gives us powerful images that reveal how perception shapes reality. What we see inwardly determines what we experience outwardly. The intellect holds learned perceptions formed by life experiences, shaping our worldview. Scripture invites us to rise higher and affirm: I call it like I see it. We call those things that are not as though they are, based on how we see them.
Perception creates reality. When perception changes, reality follows. When the head is anointed with oil, perception is lifted into higher consciousness, seeing the divine in every person, place, and situation. Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Pure perception reveals the divine presence here and now.
Firstly: The Optimist
The optimist looks at a half-filled cup and sees it as half full. This perspective focuses on what is working rather than what is lacking. Even in difficulty, the optimist holds the vision of good. Optimism keeps the head lifted, as the song reminds us: “Keep your head to the sky.”
Secondly: The Pessimist
The pessimist sees the same cup as half empty. Attention is fixed on what is missing, what failed, or what did not happen. This perception creates a reality of lack. Nothing about the cup changed only the perception did.
Thirdly: The Realist
The realist sees the cup simply as half. There is no judgment of full or empty only facts. This practical view focuses on obtaining the remaining portion.
Realists deal with what is, but may stop short of envisioning what can be.
Fourthly: The Idealist
The idealist sees the cup as already full and overflowing, regardless of appearances. This perspective lives from the inside out, knowing that internal ideas shape external experience.
The idealist sees the highest and best the good and divine in every person, place, and thing. Affirm: My perception creates my reality.
With a single eye, the body is filled with light. Glory is seen everywhere. All things are working together for good.
When thoughts, words, and actions align with divine truth, life becomes createable. Feeling wonderful, flying with wings of faith, perception gives birth to manifestation.
Conclusion
Become aware of how you are seeing whether as an optimist, pessimist, realist, or idealist. You may shift between them, but you are empowered to choose.
Hold the vision of wholeness for all. See beyond faults to divine perfection. Create your reality and honor the reality others are creating.
When invited, share your way of seeing and empower others through the three T’s: right thinking (perceiving abundance), right theology (speaking overflow), and right treatment (acting in faith). Anointed perception manifests fullnessin health, relationships, and wealth. Your cup truly overflows.
📖 Reflection: Which perspective are you most often operating from, and how might an anointed perception shift your experience?
💡 Action Step: Choose one situation today and consciously see it through the eyes of divine overflow, affirming, “My cup overflows.”
