How Do You See Jesus? Understanding John 10:30 and the Unity of Christ and the Father

Jesus and the Father as one – divine unity and oneness.

How Do You See Jesus? Understanding John 10:30 from a Kingdom Perspective

"I and My Father are One." – John 10:30

From a kingdom perspective, this profound declaration by Jesus establishes His divine unity with the Father. It forms the foundation of how believers perceive Jesus and understand their own relationship to the divine nature.

Firstly, Jesus is the Pattern Son. He represents the perfect example of being both fully human and fully divine. Just as a single pattern can be used to make many garments, Jesus serves as the model for all believers. Everything He said, did, and expressed is available to His followers. Believers are called to pattern their lives after Him, affirming that what Jesus revealed about Himself can also be true for those who walk in His ways and manifest His principles and power.

Secondly, Jesus is the Standard Rule of Measurement. He is the unchanging point of reference for assessing spiritual growth and maturity. Rather than comparing ourselves to others, we measure our progress against the fullness of Christ. This ongoing journey toward spiritual maturity requires aligning our thoughts and actions with the mind of Christ, cultivating unity with Him, and growing into His likeness.

Thirdly, Jesus is the Way Shower. He not only reveals the path to divine life but embodies it. As Savior, Christ, Lord of Lords, and King of Kings, Jesus awakens humanity to its true identity as beloved children of God. Following Him as the Way Shower enables believers to live in alignment with divine nature ruling and reigning within their God-given spheres of influence while reflecting His character and grace.

The statement "I and My Father are One" unveils the inseparable unity of Jesus with the Divine a unity that believers are invited to experience and express. Understanding Jesus as the Pattern Son, the Standard Rule, and the Way Shower expands spiritual awareness and calls believers to embody this divine nature in everyday life.

As the consciousness of Jesus unfolds from Jesus to Jesus Christ to Christ Jesus believers are likewise called to grow into the fullness of the Christ within. The more one recognizes who Jesus truly is, the more one becomes like Him, allowing the Christ nature to flow through thoughts, words, and actions.

This kingdom perspective reminds us that divine nature is not distant but deeply accessible. It becomes real through how we understand Scripture, view ourselves, and perceive Jesus as the perfect model, the unchanging standard, and the guiding way. Embracing this truth empowers us to live abundantly and authentically in the image and likeness of God.

May this revelation inspire you to walk in greater unity with the Father, reflecting His love, wisdom, and divine essence in all you do.

📖 Reflection: How does recognizing Jesus as the Pattern Son, the Standard, and the Way Shower shape your daily walk with God?

💡 Action Step: Take time this week to reflect on John 10:30. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal areas of your life where you can align more fully with the mind of Christ.

Universe Means One Thing: Love

Universe Means One Thing: Love "For all the law is fulfilled in this one word, love: Love your neighbor as yourself."   Galatians 5:14 (KSB)    Sometimes, the word “universe” can feel mysterious even spooky to some. Others think it's irreverent or sacrilegious when used in spiritual conversations. But what if we redefined it? What if “universe” simply meant love? What if it meant God, since God is love?  When we say, “the universe,” we can think of it as pointing to one word love. Just one word. The entire Bible, composed of 66 books and written by over 40 different authors, ultimately speaks to one central theme: love. From beginning to end, this divine book points us toward loving God, loving ourselves, and loving others.  In the Old Testament, God's people had 636 laws civil, ceremonial, and moral. They guided everything from relationships to religious festivals. But then Jesus came and said, “Let me make this simple Love God. Love yourself. L...

Refocus Your Faith: How to Overcome Distraction, Disappointment, and Discouragement

Refocus Your Faith: How to Overcome Distraction, Disappointment, and Discouragement "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love."   Galatians 5:6 (KSB)    With everything going on around us, it's easy to feel lost. Distractions come quickly, disappointments pile up, and discouragement sneaks in. We all face these moments. But even when we get off track, there is a way back and that path is through our faith, principles, and core values.  When you live your life anchored in principles, it gives you a compass for when the road gets unclear. Knowing your vision, your mission, and your core values makes it easier to realign when life feels out of control. But if you don’t know who you are, how can you get back to being your best self? If you don’t know what you stand on, what can you stand up on after a fall?    Clarity of purpose keeps you ...

Hidden Treasure: You Are a Vessel, Not Just an Instrument

I AM Not an Instrument. I AM a Vessel “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” – 2 Corinthians 4:7 (KSB) Hidden in Plain Sight The image that Paul presents in 2 Corinthians 4 is that of a treasure hidden within an earthen vessel. In the Old Testament, people didn’t have locks, alarm systems, or cameras to protect their valuables. Instead, their belongings were often left exposed, making them vulnerable to thieves and robbers. To safeguard their most valuable treasures, they would hide them in jars of clay—earthen vessels—placing them in plain sight. A thief or robber would never think to look there because it wasn’t an obvious hiding place. Likewise, God has placed something valuable inside of you—a treasure of great worth. Yet, people often fail to see it. You may be right in front of them, but they don’t recognize your gifts, skills, talents, anointing, abilities, or sensitivities. You are hidden in plain sight bec...
