From Desire to Delight: Building an Intentional Relationship with God

"Person praying at sunrise, representing a new beginning in faith and relationship with God."

Is Your Relationship with God Random?

"I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me." – Proverbs 8:17

Our relationship with God should never be random or accidental. It is a sacred connection built on love, faith, and consistent pursuit. Establishing a positive, healthy, and intimate relationship with God involves intentional steps and a heart of commitment.

Firstly, it begins with desire. Every prayer is grounded in desire. Jesus taught that whatever we desire when we pray, we must believe we will receive it, and it shall be ours. True prayer flows from a longing to draw closer to God and align our hearts with His will.

Secondly, desire must become discipline. Prayer is both marvelous and mundane. It holds spectacular moments of revelation and quiet times of faithful consistency. Discipline turns fleeting desire into a steady rhythm of relationship, showing up daily, whether we feel inspired or not.

Finally, prayer becomes delight. As we persevere in prayer and communion, what once felt like duty transforms into joy. Delighting in God brings fulfillment and intimacy. When we delight ourselves in the Lord, He delights in us and grants the desires that align with His heart.

Prayer, then, is a divine journey from desire to discipline to delight. It is a path that leads us from wanting God’s blessings to walking daily in His presence, reflecting the abundant and eternal life He offers to all who seek Him.

📖 Reflection: Is your relationship with God intentional, or have you allowed it to become random? How can you renew your desire, discipline, and delight in Him today?

💡 Action Step: Set aside a consistent time this week to meet with God in prayer—not out of obligation, but out of love and desire to know Him more deeply.

Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? There’s a Grace on Your Life

There’s a Grace on Your Life "By grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."    Ephesians 2:8 (KSB)    In Ephesians chapter 2, one word stands out repeatedly: grace . But what is grace? Grace is God’s unmerited favor, His love poured out on us, not based on anything we've done or failed to do. It’s not about what we think or don’t think. It’s simply a gift. A beautiful, divine surprise.  Imagine receiving an unexpected bonus at work, you did your job, and suddenly you're given more than you earned. That’s grace. It comes when you least expect it and fills you with joy and wonder. This is how God extends His grace freely, abundantly, and lovingly.  Throughout Ephesians 2, Paul highlights how grace is woven into our salvation. “By grace you are saved” means you didn’t do it yourself. Salvation is the awakening in your spirit to the truth that  you are God's beloved .   ...

You Are in God’s Will: How to Receive Your Divine Inheritance

You Are in God’s Will: How to Receive Your Divine Inheritance "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance because we were predestined according to the purpose of God, who works all things after the counsel of Divine Will."  Ephesians 1:11    Affirmation: My health is optimal because it’s God’s will that all of my relationships are harmonious.                                                    Ephesians 1:11 reminds us that we have obtained an inheritance through Christ. If earthly parents and grandparents can leave behind an inheritance of tangible and intangible value land, homes, recipes, wisdom, or even prayer, how much greater is the inheritance from our heavenly Father?  An inheritance implies that someone thought of you before their passing, made intentional plans, and had a desire for your future. Similarly,...
