Exploring the Four Dimensions of Love: A Deeper Look at Ephesians 3:18

Hands releasing a dove into the sky, symbolizing deep love and forgiveness

"May you have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide, long, high, and deep the love of Christ is."  Ephesians 3:18 (KSB)

In Ephesians chapter 3, Paul introduces love not as a vague emotion or lofty idea, but as a multidimensional reality. Love, as Paul describes it, has depth, height, length, and width, each offering a profound insight into the character of Christ and our own call to grow in Him. The height of love is kindness. Love rises higher and higher as we learn to be kind, especially to those who aren’t kind to us. When you bless those who curse you, pray for those who misuse you, and do good to those who hurt you, you’re climbing higher in love. God is calling us to a higher love, and I AM holding the consciousness with you today that your love continues to rise.

But love doesn’t only go high it goes deep. The depth of love is measured in forgiveness. How deep is your love? Can you forgive God if you need to? Can you forgive yourself? Others? Jesus called us to a radical, deeper love one that forgives "seventy times seven." I forgive everyone every day for everything. That’s deep love. I AM praying that your love continues to grow deeper every day.  The width of love shows in our ability to accept others. Love is wide when it welcomes people regardless of age, background, race, gender, beliefs, education, or status. When you love people despite their past, their pain, or their perspective, you show a wide love. God is calling us to widen our hearts and embrace people just as Christ embraces us. I AM holding the consciousness with you that your love gets wider.

The length of love is expressed in patience. "Love is patient" was the first thing Paul said in 1 Corinthians 13. The longer your love, the more patient you become with people, with circumstances, and with the process. Patience is the mark of spiritual maturity and long-lasting love. As you grow in love, frustration decreases and grace increases. I AM holding the consciousness with you today that your love gets longer. Love is never stagnant. It unfolds. It grows. It moves in every direction upward in kindness, downward in forgiveness, outward in acceptance, and onward in patience. May your love expand in all directions today as you grasp the full dimension of Christ’s love.

Why am I having these relationship challenges? There’s an answer, and it’s the same one. Why am I having this financial challenge? There’s an answer! There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? There’s a Grace on Your Life

There’s a Grace on Your Life "By grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."    Ephesians 2:8 (KSB)    In Ephesians chapter 2, one word stands out repeatedly: grace . But what is grace? Grace is God’s unmerited favor, His love poured out on us, not based on anything we've done or failed to do. It’s not about what we think or don’t think. It’s simply a gift. A beautiful, divine surprise.  Imagine receiving an unexpected bonus at work, you did your job, and suddenly you're given more than you earned. That’s grace. It comes when you least expect it and fills you with joy and wonder. This is how God extends His grace freely, abundantly, and lovingly.  Throughout Ephesians 2, Paul highlights how grace is woven into our salvation. “By grace you are saved” means you didn’t do it yourself. Salvation is the awakening in your spirit to the truth that  you are God's beloved .   ...

Where Is the Love? Learning to Recognize God's Presence Through Galatians 5

Where Is the Love?    One of my favorite duets is by Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack: "Where Is the Love?" It asks, "Where is the love that you said you would give to me?" It's a timeless question and one that’s just as spiritually relevant today.    In Galatians 5 , Paul writes to the churches in Galatia about the contrast between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. He helps believers understand how to discern what’s truly of God. And here's the spiritual compass: love is God's signature . "And envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."   Galatians 5:21 (KSB)    Whatever you do whether it’s cooking a meal or making a major decision ask yourself: "Where is the love?" Is love your motive? Is love present in your tone, your actions, your intentions?  Paul’s letter urges us to determine whether we are operati...
