You Can’t Prosper Until the Walls Come Down – Lessons from Joshua 6:1

You Can’t Prosper Until the Walls Come Down

"Now the gates of Jericho were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in." – Joshua 6:1

Prosperity often cannot flow until the walls come down. These walls formed by hurt, fear, unforgiveness, bitterness, and resentment block the very blessings God desires to release into our lives. When people build walls, they may think they are protecting themselves, but in reality, they are also blocking the flow of prosperity.

When walls are erected against people, places, or situations, they do more than keep others out they prevent good from coming in. An open heart and an open mind are necessary to receive love, healing, and abundance. Fear of being hurt again or disappointed again often becomes a self-imposed barrier to blessing.

People block their own blessings with these walls. Prosperity cannot fully manifest until the walls fall. When the barriers are removed, the flow of divine good is restored.

Firstly, from sickness to optimal health: This shift begins with transformed thinking. Replace thoughts of illness with thoughts aligned with wholeness. Speak words of healing
and vitality, and take intentional actions that nurture the body toward optimal health.

Secondly, from chaos to harmonious relationships: Change thoughts of discord into thoughts of unity. Declare words that foster peace and connection, and engage in actions that build trust, understanding, and loving bonds.

Thirdly, from poverty to overflowing wealth: Renew thoughts of lack into thoughts of abundance. Proclaim words of provision and increase, and pursue actions that open channels for wealth and opportunity to flow freely.

The walls of Jericho stood secure, barring both entry and exit. Yet, when they fell, divine purpose unfolded. In the same way, when inner walls are released through transformed thinking, renewed theology, and loving treatment, prosperity in health, relationships, and wealth can finally enter.

Let the walls come down today so abundant life can flow.

You can’t prosper until the walls come down.

📖 Reflection: What emotional or mental wall might be blocking the flow of God’s abundance in your life right now?

💡 Action Step: Identify one wall—fear, unforgiveness, or limiting belief—and consciously release it today through prayer, affirmations, and loving action.

Why Me? God’s Glory (Romans 8:18) Why? That's a question often in our Souls. Why is this happening to me? Why am I having this experience? Why am I facing this health challenge? There's an answer! Why am I having these relationship challenges? There’s an answer, and it’s the same one. Why am I having this financial challenge? There’s an answer! There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? So God can get the...
The Sacred Sunday Posture:  Kneeling “ A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees; if you are willing, you can make me clean (Mark 1:40).” In addition to bowing your heads and closing your eyes, many people learn to “get on your knees and pray.” Often, it’s at night before going to sleep. Parents instruct their children to kneel on the side of the bed and say their prayers. Perhaps you have fond memories of kneeling and reciting the Lord’s Prayer or the 23 rd Psalm. Or maybe you were taught, like me, “Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake. I pray the Lord, my soul, to take. God bless mommy, daddy...” Kneeling is a physical way to revere God as your Creator and remember that God is your Source. “Know that it is the Lord, who is God. It is he that has made us and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture (Psalm 100:3).” Without reverencing and ...

There’s a Grace on Your Life

There’s a Grace on Your Life "By grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."    Ephesians 2:8 (KSB)    In Ephesians chapter 2, one word stands out repeatedly: grace . But what is grace? Grace is God’s unmerited favor, His love poured out on us, not based on anything we've done or failed to do. It’s not about what we think or don’t think. It’s simply a gift. A beautiful, divine surprise.  Imagine receiving an unexpected bonus at work, you did your job, and suddenly you're given more than you earned. That’s grace. It comes when you least expect it and fills you with joy and wonder. This is how God extends His grace freely, abundantly, and lovingly.  Throughout Ephesians 2, Paul highlights how grace is woven into our salvation. “By grace you are saved” means you didn’t do it yourself. Salvation is the awakening in your spirit to the truth that  you are God's beloved .   ...
