Heirs of God, Sealed in Love: Discovering Our Divine Inheritance in Christ

God's children united as one body in Christ

Heirs of God, Sealed in Love: Discovering Our Divine Inheritance in Christ

"Also, you were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit."  Ephesians 1:13 KSB

Do you know who you are? Do you really know who you are? You are not just a face in the crowd; you are an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ Jesus. In Ephesians 1, Paul reminds the believers in Ephesus that both Jews and Gentiles now have full access to the blessings of God. We are one family, one body, with one shared inheritance. There are no second-class children in God's kingdom. Whether your background includes race, gender, social status, criminal history, denomination, or personal struggles none of these disqualify you from your inheritance in Christ. You are marked, sealed, and secured by the Holy Spirit. That seal is your divine proof of ownership, authenticity, and eternal security.

You share in God's nature; His love becomes your love. The fruit of the Spirit is not just a list, it's your lifestyle: love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, meekness, temperance, and faith. As an heir of God, you have access to divine wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Your very breath is proof that God’s character flows through you. Want to know what belongs to you as an heir? Look at Jesus. When He prayed, God answered. When He needed provision, God supplied whether through loaves, fish, or a coin in a fish’s mouth. Jesus is your elder brother, your example. His miracles show what it means to live as a child of God, filled with the Spirit and empowered to walk in divine authority.

Because Jesus had access to peace, health, provision, and power, so do you. Your inheritance includes optimal health, harmonious relationships, and overflowing provision. You're not waiting for something to drop from heaven you already have shares in God's eternal business. "Heirs" means "shares." Get your share, because it's already yours. We are all beloved offspring of God, made in His image, spiritual beings with divine DNA. As heirs, joint heirs with Christ and with each other, we are called to share. Some of our brothers and sisters don’t yet know who they are. Share your knowledge, your resources, your time so they too can access their inheritance.

In God’s kingdom, there are more than enough shares for everyone. God’s goodness cannot be exhausted. As it says in Scripture, “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you.” The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof. So don't keep all that good to yourself share it!

Sealed by God – Ephesians 1:13

Being sealed by the Holy Spirit means:

  • Ownership – You belong to God.
  • Authenticity – You are the real thing, a genuine child of God.
  • Security – You are safe in His promise and protected by His power.

Question: What is the last thing you sealed? A letter? A deal? A document? Now think God sealed you with His Spirit. That’s forever.

📖 Reflection: Do you live daily in the awareness that you are a sealed, secured heir of God? What would change if you did?

💡 Action Step: Share one aspect of your spiritual inheritance with someone this week whether it’s love, peace, wisdom, or resources.

Hidden Treasure: You Are a Vessel, Not Just an Instrument

I AM Not an Instrument. I AM a Vessel “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” – 2 Corinthians 4:7 (KSB) Hidden in Plain Sight The image that Paul presents in 2 Corinthians 4 is that of a treasure hidden within an earthen vessel. In the Old Testament, people didn’t have locks, alarm systems, or cameras to protect their valuables. Instead, their belongings were often left exposed, making them vulnerable to thieves and robbers. To safeguard their most valuable treasures, they would hide them in jars of clay—earthen vessels—placing them in plain sight. A thief or robber would never think to look there because it wasn’t an obvious hiding place. Likewise, God has placed something valuable inside of you—a treasure of great worth. Yet, people often fail to see it. You may be right in front of them, but they don’t recognize your gifts, skills, talents, anointing, abilities, or sensitivities. You are hidden in plain sight bec...

Universe Means One Thing: Love

Universe Means One Thing: Love "For all the law is fulfilled in this one word, love: Love your neighbor as yourself."   Galatians 5:14 (KSB)    Sometimes, the word “universe” can feel mysterious even spooky to some. Others think it's irreverent or sacrilegious when used in spiritual conversations. But what if we redefined it? What if “universe” simply meant love? What if it meant God, since God is love?  When we say, “the universe,” we can think of it as pointing to one word love. Just one word. The entire Bible, composed of 66 books and written by over 40 different authors, ultimately speaks to one central theme: love. From beginning to end, this divine book points us toward loving God, loving ourselves, and loving others.  In the Old Testament, God's people had 636 laws civil, ceremonial, and moral. They guided everything from relationships to religious festivals. But then Jesus came and said, “Let me make this simple Love God. Love yourself. L...
The Kingdom is About Growth (Matthew 13:24-30)   The kingdom is about growth, not condemnation, judgment, sin, abomination, transgression, or iniquity. The kingdom of God is about growth. Jesus said it is like wheat and weeds, or "tares," as some versions say. As you grow, once you plant a seed in the ground, you don’t just get what you get; you also get weeds. As you keep growing, you will outgrow any behavior, any way of being, seeing, thinking, speaking, or acting that is not like God; you will outgrow it. Stop trying to pull up the weeds and keep growing. Stop trying to put people out of your life because some of the people you think are weeds are really wheat, and some of the people you feel are wheat might not be. Just keep growing, and it will automatically separate. Jesus said the growth in the kingdom is like a mustard seed. It starts as the smallest seed, but it’s potent. So do not despise the days of small beginnings; keep growing. Don’t compare yourself to a...
