Open Your Mind: Receiving Divine Perspective Beyond Yes or No

Open Your Mind

"Neither," replied the commander, "but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come." Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked, "What message does my Lord have for the servant?" – Joshua 5:14

Open the mind to receive divine, unlimited ideas. Joshua was open to the message from the commander of the army of the Lord, even when that message did not fit his expectations. Openness allows divine wisdom to be recognized, received, and applied.

Everything in life presents either a lesson or a blessing, yet it is openness that allows us to recognize both. A closed mind resists growth, while an open mind welcomes divine instruction in every situation.

Through the lens of Kingdom Process: Balance, what appears as good and evil reveals itself instead as visible blessings and hidden lessons
both working together for good. Kingdom understanding invites us beyond surface judgments into spiritual insight.

“Joshua encounters the commander of the Lord’s army”

Firstly, More Than One Right Answer

Joshua asked the commander, “Are you for us or against us?” The response revealed a perspective beyond binary choices. In life’s tests, openness embraces multiple valid paths. Thoughts release rigid either-or thinking, words affirm diverse truths, and actions pursue what aligns with abundant life.

   Secondly, All of the Above

Life’s questions often require embracing every option rather than selecting only one. Multiple solutions, resolutions, and manifestations become available when the mind expands. Thoughts learn to hold all possibilities, words declare comprehensive approaches, and actions engage them fully.

   Thirdly, None of the Above

The commander declared, “Neither,” transcending the offered choices. Divine instruction often arrives neutral beyond good and evil labels flowing from the Tree of Life rather than the knowledge of good and evil. Thoughts release unhelpful options, words proclaim freedom, and actions begin anew.

Open ears to hear what must be heard, eyes to see what must be seen, and a heart to feel what must be felt. When the mind expands beyond limitation, all things truly work together for good.

   Conclusion

Embrace Kingdom balance through transformed thoughts, empowering words, and purposeful actions. As your mind opens to divine perspective, you walk more fully in abundance, clarity, and eternal life.

   Open Your Mind (Joshua 5:14)
   1. More Than One Right Answer
   2. All of the Above
   3. None of the Above

📖 Reflection: Where might God be inviting you to move beyond limited thinking into a higher Kingdom perspective?

💡 Action Step: Today, pause before reacting to a challenge and ask, “What divine lesson or blessing is available to me here?”

Why Me? God’s Glory (Romans 8:18) Why? That's a question often in our Souls. Why is this happening to me? Why am I having this experience? Why am I facing this health challenge? There's an answer! Why am I having these relationship challenges? There’s an answer, and it’s the same one. Why am I having this financial challenge? There’s an answer! There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? So God can get the...
The Sacred Sunday Posture:  Kneeling “ A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees; if you are willing, you can make me clean (Mark 1:40).” In addition to bowing your heads and closing your eyes, many people learn to “get on your knees and pray.” Often, it’s at night before going to sleep. Parents instruct their children to kneel on the side of the bed and say their prayers. Perhaps you have fond memories of kneeling and reciting the Lord’s Prayer or the 23 rd Psalm. Or maybe you were taught, like me, “Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake. I pray the Lord, my soul, to take. God bless mommy, daddy...” Kneeling is a physical way to revere God as your Creator and remember that God is your Source. “Know that it is the Lord, who is God. It is he that has made us and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture (Psalm 100:3).” Without reverencing and ...

There’s a Grace on Your Life

There’s a Grace on Your Life "By grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."    Ephesians 2:8 (KSB)    In Ephesians chapter 2, one word stands out repeatedly: grace . But what is grace? Grace is God’s unmerited favor, His love poured out on us, not based on anything we've done or failed to do. It’s not about what we think or don’t think. It’s simply a gift. A beautiful, divine surprise.  Imagine receiving an unexpected bonus at work, you did your job, and suddenly you're given more than you earned. That’s grace. It comes when you least expect it and fills you with joy and wonder. This is how God extends His grace freely, abundantly, and lovingly.  Throughout Ephesians 2, Paul highlights how grace is woven into our salvation. “By grace you are saved” means you didn’t do it yourself. Salvation is the awakening in your spirit to the truth that  you are God's beloved .   ...
