Identity Is Victory: Living as the Lamb, Lord, and King in Christ

Identity Is Victory!

(Revelation 17:14)

"They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of Lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers."

 Revelation 17:14 (KSB)

Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God representing forgiveness and grace

Identity is victory. No one can truly experience victory until they understand who they are. Likewise, no one can overcome until they know whose they are. Triumph is impossible without a clear awareness of identity.

When feeling defeated, return to the truth that you are a spiritual being living in a spiritual universe governed by the spiritual law of love. When feeling deflated, return to the truth that you are a unique, unrepeatable expression of God. When feeling like a failure, remember that you are created in the image and likeness of God. When feeling unsuccessful, affirm that you are perfect, whole, and complete with nothing missing, nothing broken, and nothing out of place.

Revelation 17:14 reveals three powerful identity dimensions through Christ: the Lamb of God, the Lord of lords, and the King of kings. Understanding and embracing these identities unlocks victorious living.

Firstly: The Lamb of God

Jesus overcame as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. When we see Jesus as the Lamb, we also recognize ourselves as lambs of God fully forgiven. Sins, transgressions, iniquities, and any form of missing the mark of love are forgiven and removed.

God has separated sin as far as the east is from the west. We are God’s people, the sheep of His pasture. We enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Guilt, shame, and condemnation lose their power because they cannot define the identity of a lamb of God.

In this identity, we are nourished by truth and anchored in grace.

Secondly: Lord of Lords

The word lord means ruler. While the Lamb identity brings forgiveness, lordship brings rulership specifically, rulership over oneself. Scripture reminds us not to lord over others, but to lead by example.

Jesus is Lord of lords, and in Him, we learn to rule our own spirit. Greater is the one who governs their inner world than the one who conquers a city. No one else controls your way of being, seeing, thinking, speaking, or behaving.

This self-mastery is the fruit of the Spirit, temperance and self-control. From lamb experiences, we gain wisdom. From lordship, we grow in discipline. We learn from past mistakes, refine our words and actions, and advance into new dimensions of maturity.

Thirdly: King of Kings

Jesus is King of kings, and in Him, we are kings, queens, and royal heirs called to reign within our God-given domain. Reverence God as Lamb, rule yourself as Lord, and then reign as royalty.

Many desire to reign without first ruling themselves, but there is divine order: Savior, Christ, Lord of lords, and King of kings. Dominion is given so that we may be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue, and have authority.

Each person carries a calling, an area of influence where they are designed to reign. True reigning flows naturally from a life that has first learned obedience and self-governance.

Conclusion

Return daily to your identity in Christ: the Lamb of God with sins forgiven, the Lord who rules the self, and the King who reigns with divine authority. Embrace this truth in your thoughts, words, and actions.

Identity is victory. Affirm it. Embody it. Live it. And triumph through Christ.

   Identity Is Victory!

   1. Lamb of God
   2. Lord of lords
   3. King of kings

📖 Reflection: Which aspect of your identity—Lamb, Lord, or King—do you need to consciously return to today?

💡 Action Step: Speak an identity affirmation aloud today that aligns with who you are in Christ, and let it guide your decisions and behavior.

Refocus Your Faith: How to Overcome Distraction, Disappointment, and Discouragement

Refocus Your Faith: How to Overcome Distraction, Disappointment, and Discouragement "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love."   Galatians 5:6 (KSB)    With everything going on around us, it's easy to feel lost. Distractions come quickly, disappointments pile up, and discouragement sneaks in. We all face these moments. But even when we get off track, there is a way back and that path is through our faith, principles, and core values.  When you live your life anchored in principles, it gives you a compass for when the road gets unclear. Knowing your vision, your mission, and your core values makes it easier to realign when life feels out of control. But if you don’t know who you are, how can you get back to being your best self? If you don’t know what you stand on, what can you stand up on after a fall?    Clarity of purpose keeps you ...

Hidden Treasure: You Are a Vessel, Not Just an Instrument

I AM Not an Instrument. I AM a Vessel “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” – 2 Corinthians 4:7 (KSB) Hidden in Plain Sight The image that Paul presents in 2 Corinthians 4 is that of a treasure hidden within an earthen vessel. In the Old Testament, people didn’t have locks, alarm systems, or cameras to protect their valuables. Instead, their belongings were often left exposed, making them vulnerable to thieves and robbers. To safeguard their most valuable treasures, they would hide them in jars of clay—earthen vessels—placing them in plain sight. A thief or robber would never think to look there because it wasn’t an obvious hiding place. Likewise, God has placed something valuable inside of you—a treasure of great worth. Yet, people often fail to see it. You may be right in front of them, but they don’t recognize your gifts, skills, talents, anointing, abilities, or sensitivities. You are hidden in plain sight bec...

Universe Means One Thing: Love

Universe Means One Thing: Love "For all the law is fulfilled in this one word, love: Love your neighbor as yourself."   Galatians 5:14 (KSB)    Sometimes, the word “universe” can feel mysterious even spooky to some. Others think it's irreverent or sacrilegious when used in spiritual conversations. But what if we redefined it? What if “universe” simply meant love? What if it meant God, since God is love?  When we say, “the universe,” we can think of it as pointing to one word love. Just one word. The entire Bible, composed of 66 books and written by over 40 different authors, ultimately speaks to one central theme: love. From beginning to end, this divine book points us toward loving God, loving ourselves, and loving others.  In the Old Testament, God's people had 636 laws civil, ceremonial, and moral. They guided everything from relationships to religious festivals. But then Jesus came and said, “Let me make this simple Love God. Love yourself. L...
