Change Brings Healing: The Power of Life in the Blood

Change Brings Healing

Revelation 16

The life of Jesus symbolized through communion bread and cup

"For they have shed the blood of your holy people and your prophets, and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve." – Revelation 16:6 (KSB)

Blood serves as a powerful image throughout Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, symbolizing life itself. The life of every living being resides in its blood. When Scripture speaks of the blood of Jesus, it is pointing not merely to a substance, but to the life of Jesus in its fullness.

The power of that life flows from Jesus’ pre-existence with God, His birth, ministry, death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and ongoing intercession at the right hand of God. The blood of Jesus represents His entire life cycle and provides a divine pattern for navigating our own life journeys.

Firstly: Animals

In the Old Testament, animal sacrifices symbolized life offered in response to thoughts, words, and actions that fell short of the highest and the best. Scripture declares that without the shedding of blood, there was no remission of sins.

Once a year, priests entered the Holy of Holies carrying blood sacrifices. The life of these animals held value within their spiritual economy and served as a visible sign of atonement, restoration, and covenant relationship with God.

Secondly: Jesus

Jesus fulfills this principle completely. In communion, the bread represents His body, and the cup represents His blood meaning His life. When blood is fully drained, it signifies transition from physical form, yet in Jesus, death was not the end but a doorway into resurrection life.

Believers are invited to apply this truth by living as Jesus lived thinking as Jesus thought, speaking as Jesus spoke, and acting as Jesus acted. This is how one participates in the promise of doing even greater works.

Thirdly: People & Prophets

Revelation 16 mirrors the plagues of Exodus, where water turns to blood. Water represents life, sustenance, and flow, yet when it becomes blood, it reflects lives lost through destructive thoughts, words, and actions influenced by the dragon and false prophets.

As Revelation 16:6 declares, those who shed the blood of holy people and prophets receive blood to drink as they deserve. Water turned to blood becomes undrinkable, symbolizing the consequence of taking life physically, emotionally, spiritually, or mentally.

Conclusion

In the divine balance of sowing and reaping, Scripture calls humanity to embrace the power found in the life of Jesus. That life brings abundance now and eternal life beyond time.

Change brings healing. As consciousness shifts, healing unfolds whether from sickness, sores, or suffering. The life of Christ transforms what was once broken into wholeness.

There’s a Grace on Your Life

There’s a Grace on Your Life "By grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."    Ephesians 2:8 (KSB)    In Ephesians chapter 2, one word stands out repeatedly: grace . But what is grace? Grace is God’s unmerited favor, His love poured out on us, not based on anything we've done or failed to do. It’s not about what we think or don’t think. It’s simply a gift. A beautiful, divine surprise.  Imagine receiving an unexpected bonus at work, you did your job, and suddenly you're given more than you earned. That’s grace. It comes when you least expect it and fills you with joy and wonder. This is how God extends His grace freely, abundantly, and lovingly.  Throughout Ephesians 2, Paul highlights how grace is woven into our salvation. “By grace you are saved” means you didn’t do it yourself. Salvation is the awakening in your spirit to the truth that  you are God's beloved .   ...
