Life Is a Gift from God: Honoring the Divine Breath Within

Life Is a Gift from God

Person breathing in divine life as the breath of God at sunrise

"During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them." – Revelation 9:6

Life is a gift from God. It is a sacred gift that only God can give, sustain, and complete. Revelation 9:6 reminds us of the preciousness of life, even in moments of despair, confusion, or suffering.

Firstly: We Did Not Make Life

Humanity did not create life God did. Scripture declares that God formed humanity from the dust of the ground and breathed into the nostrils the breath of life, and humanity became a living soul. Life began with divine breath, not human effort.

This truth humbles the ego and restores reverence. Life is not manufactured, earned, or deserved, it is given.

Secondly: We Did Not Give Life

God continues to give life to every person and every living creature on the earth. Every breath, heartbeat, and moment flows from the Divine. The breath that sustains us moment by moment does not come from ourselves, it comes from God.

Recognizing this truth invites gratitude, stewardship, and compassion. Life is sustained by divine presence, not personal power.

Thirdly: We Cannot Take Life

Only God has authority over life and death. As Jesus declared, “No one takes my life from me, but I lay it down.” Humanity does not possess the power to take life neither our own nor another’s.

Life belongs to God alone. Only God makes life, only God gives life, and only God completes life. This truth restores reverence for every living soul.

Revelation 9:6 reveals that even when people long for death, life remains. Life persists because it is held by God, not human emotion or circumstance.

Life is sacred. Life is purposeful. Life is a divine gift meant to be honored, protected, and lived fully.

📖 Reflection: How does remembering that life is God’s gift change the way you view your own life today?

💡 Action Step: Take a conscious breath today and give thanks for the divine life flowing through you right now.

There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? There’s a Grace on Your Life

There’s a Grace on Your Life "By grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."    Ephesians 2:8 (KSB)    In Ephesians chapter 2, one word stands out repeatedly: grace . But what is grace? Grace is God’s unmerited favor, His love poured out on us, not based on anything we've done or failed to do. It’s not about what we think or don’t think. It’s simply a gift. A beautiful, divine surprise.  Imagine receiving an unexpected bonus at work, you did your job, and suddenly you're given more than you earned. That’s grace. It comes when you least expect it and fills you with joy and wonder. This is how God extends His grace freely, abundantly, and lovingly.  Throughout Ephesians 2, Paul highlights how grace is woven into our salvation. “By grace you are saved” means you didn’t do it yourself. Salvation is the awakening in your spirit to the truth that  you are God's beloved .   ...

You Are in God’s Will: How to Receive Your Divine Inheritance

You Are in God’s Will: How to Receive Your Divine Inheritance "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance because we were predestined according to the purpose of God, who works all things after the counsel of Divine Will."  Ephesians 1:11    Affirmation: My health is optimal because it’s God’s will that all of my relationships are harmonious.                                                    Ephesians 1:11 reminds us that we have obtained an inheritance through Christ. If earthly parents and grandparents can leave behind an inheritance of tangible and intangible value land, homes, recipes, wisdom, or even prayer, how much greater is the inheritance from our heavenly Father?  An inheritance implies that someone thought of you before their passing, made intentional plans, and had a desire for your future. Similarly,...
