God Made Places Before People: Discovering the Kingdom Principle of Divine Placement

God Made Places Before People

"Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, ‘Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,’ even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you." – Psalm 139:7–12

This teaching reveals a powerful Kingdom Principle of divine placement: God creates places before He creates people. The Garden of Eden is a perfect example before Adam and Eve were formed, the place was already prepared. This truth shows that places hold divine purpose in God’s plan, and He never places anyone in a space without first preparing it for them.

Wherever you are right now, that place has been divinely prepared. Every situation spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, geographical, educational, vocational, social, or financial has meaning and calling. God intentionally positions His people, ensuring each placement aligns with His purpose. This truth invites us to embrace our current place with peace and faith, trusting that it is not by accident but by divine design.

   1. God’s Omnipresence Means He Is Everywhere

The psalmist David understood that it is impossible to escape God’s presence. Whether in the highest heavens or the deepest depths, God is there, guiding and holding us fast. God does not travel from one place to another; His presence simply is. Recognizing this helps us live fully in the moment, aware that God is present and active right where we are. His presence brings joy, peace, love, harmony, and every resource we need.

   2. There Are No Godforsaken Places

The idea of a “godforsaken” place is a misconception. God’s presence fills every location no matter how dark, difficult, or distant. Even in places perceived as unfavorable, God’s Spirit is present. Our human perception may label certain areas or seasons negatively, but God is equally there in every city, community, and continent. This awareness replaces fear and despair with hope and assurance that we are never alone, no matter the environment.

   3. God Is Within You and Flows Through You

God’s presence is not only around us, it is within us. His Spirit moves and manifests through each believer. This means that wherever you go, you carry divine presence with you. Even when you cannot feel or see God, His Spirit remains constant and accessible within. When you recognize this truth, you can influence the atmosphere of any place you enter, knowing you are a vessel of divine light and love.

Conclusion: The Principle of Divine Placement

To embrace the principle of divine placement is to trust that God prepared your place before He placed you there. His omnipresence ensures that no matter where you are, He is already there guiding, providing, and revealing His purpose. When you acknowledge this, you gain confidence that every circumstance holds potential for God’s goodness to manifest. Gratitude and peace flow when you rest in the truth that wherever you are, God is, and all is well.

   The Prayer of Awareness:

The light of God surrounds us.
I AM the light of God.
The love of God enfolds us.
I AM the love of God.
The power of God protects us.
I AM the power of God.
The presence of God watches over us.
I AM the presence of God.
And I AM grateful.
I AM so grateful that wherever I AM, God is—and all is well, all the time.
Amen.

📖 Reflection: How can you recognize God’s divine preparation in the place where you are right now?

💡 Action Step: Take a few moments today to thank God for the place He has you in, trusting that it has purpose and is part of His divine plan.

Why Me? God’s Glory (Romans 8:18) Why? That's a question often in our Souls. Why is this happening to me? Why am I having this experience? Why am I facing this health challenge? There's an answer! Why am I having these relationship challenges? There’s an answer, and it’s the same one. Why am I having this financial challenge? There’s an answer! There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? The Sacred Sunday Posture:  Kneeling “ A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees; if you are willing, you can make me clean (Mark 1:40).” In addition to bowing your heads and closing your eyes, many people learn to “get on your knees and pray.” Often, it’s at night before going to sleep. Parents instruct their children to kneel on the side of the bed and say their prayers. Perhaps you have fond memories of kneeling and reciting the Lord’s Prayer or the 23 rd Psalm. Or maybe you were taught, like me, “Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake. I pray the Lord, my soul, to take. God bless mommy, daddy...” Kneeling is a physical way to revere God as your Creator and remember that God is your Source. “Know that it is the Lord, who is God. It is he that has made us and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture (Psalm 100:3).” Without reverencing and ...

Where Is the Love? Learning to Recognize God's Presence Through Galatians 5

Where Is the Love?    One of my favorite duets is by Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack: "Where Is the Love?" It asks, "Where is the love that you said you would give to me?" It's a timeless question and one that’s just as spiritually relevant today.    In Galatians 5 , Paul writes to the churches in Galatia about the contrast between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. He helps believers understand how to discern what’s truly of God. And here's the spiritual compass: love is God's signature . "And envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."   Galatians 5:21 (KSB)    Whatever you do whether it’s cooking a meal or making a major decision ask yourself: "Where is the love?" Is love your motive? Is love present in your tone, your actions, your intentions?  Paul’s letter urges us to determine whether we are operati...
