One of the Greatest Gifts You Can Give: The Power of Praying With Others

"Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my Creator in heaven." – Matthew 18:19

One of the greatest gifts an individual can offer another is the gift of prayer. Prayer is more than communication with the Creator, it is a sacred act of unity, compassion, and empowerment. While many of us are accustomed to praying for others, this teaching emphasizes the power of praying with others. When we invite someone to join us in prayer, we encourage them to grow in their own spiritual relationship with the Creator. This shared experience fosters faith, removes dependency, and nurtures self-empowerment in divine communication.

Praying together creates agreement and unity in spirit, affirming that everyone’s prayers hold equal weight and divine significance. It’s a call to move beyond intercession alone into shared prayer where teaching, learning, and growing in faith happen together. Just as teaching someone a skill sustains them for life, teaching another how to pray builds lifelong spiritual strength. This message also invites us to appreciate those who have shared this gift with us, for the practice of prayer continually sustains and enriches our spiritual journey.

Praying on the physical level involves direct, tangible connection seeing, hearing, or even holding hands during prayer. This sensory experience can heighten unity and focus, allowing the physical presence of others to amplify the power of prayer. However, this dimension is limited to time and space, it requires physical proximity or a connection through voice or technology.

Praying on the soulful level goes deeper, engaging the emotions and intellect. It is the prayer of empathy where we feel with another person, understand their joys and struggles, and lift them up with heartfelt sincerity. This connection of hearts and minds builds trust, emotional healing, and compassionate strength, creating a bond that transcends the spoken words.

Praying on the spiritual level is the highest and most transformative form of prayer. It moves beyond physical and emotional dimensions to engage with the eternal, divine essence within a person. This level of prayer affirms the wholeness, peace, and perfection of the spirit seeing beyond temporary circumstances into divine truth. It’s a prayer that connects spirit to spirit, acknowledging that even when someone is far away or unaware, their divine essence remains whole and connected to the Creator.

At this level, prayer invites miracles, healing, and transformation. It reminds us that our true identity is not confined by physical or emotional challenges but anchored in eternal spiritual perfection. When we pray spiritually with another, we align our consciousness with divine truth and allow the Creator’s power to flow freely through both hearts.

In conclusion, prayer can occur on multiple levels physical, soulful, and spiritual but the deepest transformation happens when we connect on the spiritual level. Teaching others to pray in this way strengthens their bond with the Creator, deepens their faith, and nurtures empowerment that lasts a lifetime. Offering the gift of prayer not just on special occasions, but as a way of life brings healing, unity, and divine connection that bless every aspect of our journey.

📖 Reflection: Who in your life can you invite to pray with you this week, rather than simply praying for them?

💡 Action Step: Reach out to one person and share a moment of prayer together, whether in person or over a call, affirming unity and faith.

Universe Means One Thing: Love

Universe Means One Thing: Love "For all the law is fulfilled in this one word, love: Love your neighbor as yourself."   Galatians 5:14 (KSB)    Sometimes, the word “universe” can feel mysterious even spooky to some. Others think it's irreverent or sacrilegious when used in spiritual conversations. But what if we redefined it? What if “universe” simply meant love? What if it meant God, since God is love?  When we say, “the universe,” we can think of it as pointing to one word love. Just one word. The entire Bible, composed of 66 books and written by over 40 different authors, ultimately speaks to one central theme: love. From beginning to end, this divine book points us toward loving God, loving ourselves, and loving others.  In the Old Testament, God's people had 636 laws civil, ceremonial, and moral. They guided everything from relationships to religious festivals. But then Jesus came and said, “Let me make this simple Love God. Love yourself. L...

Refocus Your Faith: How to Overcome Distraction, Disappointment, and Discouragement

Refocus Your Faith: How to Overcome Distraction, Disappointment, and Discouragement "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love."   Galatians 5:6 (KSB)    With everything going on around us, it's easy to feel lost. Distractions come quickly, disappointments pile up, and discouragement sneaks in. We all face these moments. But even when we get off track, there is a way back and that path is through our faith, principles, and core values.  When you live your life anchored in principles, it gives you a compass for when the road gets unclear. Knowing your vision, your mission, and your core values makes it easier to realign when life feels out of control. But if you don’t know who you are, how can you get back to being your best self? If you don’t know what you stand on, what can you stand up on after a fall?    Clarity of purpose keeps you ...

Hidden Treasure: You Are a Vessel, Not Just an Instrument

I AM Not an Instrument. I AM a Vessel “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” – 2 Corinthians 4:7 (KSB) Hidden in Plain Sight The image that Paul presents in 2 Corinthians 4 is that of a treasure hidden within an earthen vessel. In the Old Testament, people didn’t have locks, alarm systems, or cameras to protect their valuables. Instead, their belongings were often left exposed, making them vulnerable to thieves and robbers. To safeguard their most valuable treasures, they would hide them in jars of clay—earthen vessels—placing them in plain sight. A thief or robber would never think to look there because it wasn’t an obvious hiding place. Likewise, God has placed something valuable inside of you—a treasure of great worth. Yet, people often fail to see it. You may be right in front of them, but they don’t recognize your gifts, skills, talents, anointing, abilities, or sensitivities. You are hidden in plain sight bec...
