A New Victorious Life: Power Over Death, the Devil, and Defeat

"Since the children have flesh and blood, the Divine One too shared in their humanity so that by that death, the power of the one who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—might be broken." – Hebrews 2:14, Kingdom Study Bible

Humanity is invited into a new victorious life through the Kingdom Process of Balance embracing both life and death as divine pathways to transformation. This victorious life arises from the shared humanity of the Divine One, affirming that we are beloved offspring, made in the image and likeness of the Divine. As the Firstborn among many, the Divine One embodies full humanity and full divinity, extending authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions over all the power of the adversary. All power in heaven and on earth flows through the Christ, and that same power is bestowed upon humanity to live a life of authority and divine purpose.

Firstly, this new victorious life grants power over death. Humanity need not fear death, for the Divine One conquered it, declaring, “O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?” The resurrection and the life are revealed in the Christ, assuring that those who live and trust in this truth shall never truly die. The shadow of fear dissolves in the light of eternal life. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Divine One a seamless transition from one realm of life to another. Thus, death becomes not an end but a multiplication of life. Through words of life, we claim victory: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Even in the valley of shadows, there is no fear, for the Divine Presence abides. This truth replaces dread with confidence in eternal vitality.

Secondly, this new victorious life bestows power over the devil. The devil, understood not as a person but as an idea of separation or fear, holds no true authority. It gains influence only through our unguarded thoughts, words, and actions. Humanity denies it power by refusing to dwell upon it, speak of it, or attribute activity to it. We embrace full responsibility for our inner world knowing no external force compels us. The “devil” is but a shadow cast by the mind, dismissed by the Christ’s command: “Get behind me.” We destroy this illusion by focusing our hearts on love, joy, peace, and light. Whatever we meditate upon takes form. Thus, humanity is called to be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue, and exercise dominion not through blame, but through awakened choice. Power over the devil is realized in the declaration of victory the adversary lies defeated, underfoot, powerless unless we empower it by neglecting our divine awareness.

Thirdly, this new victorious life confers power over defeat. Humanity stands as more than conquerors in all things, triumphing through the Divine One who always causes victory in the Christ. No goal is beyond reach, no purpose beyond manifestation. To claim defeat through fear or doubt is to overlook the inheritance of triumph. Every aspiration aligns with divine flow, producing accomplishment and fulfillment. Thanks be to the Divine One who grants us victory through the Christ!

To fully embrace this victorious life, we must align our confession and belief with its truth. We no longer trust in limitation or fear but in the resurrection power that raised the Christ from the dead. We refuse to repeat cycles of defeat, for they dishonor the work already accomplished. When we awaken to these realities power over death, over the devil, and over defeat our minds and actions ascend into divine alignment. We step into the eternal now, where divine purpose unfolds in balance, love, prayer, and prosperity. This is the invitation: live victoriously, for the new life is here claimed through trust in the Divine One’s eternal promise.

📖 Reflection: Where in your life can you replace fear with faith and claim victory through divine truth?

💡 Action Step: Speak words of life today. Affirm your divine authority and walk boldly in the victory already given to you.

Why Me? God’s Glory (Romans 8:18) Why? That's a question often in our Souls. Why is this happening to me? Why am I having this experience? Why am I facing this health challenge? There's an answer! Why am I having these relationship challenges? There’s an answer, and it’s the same one. Why am I having this financial challenge? There’s an answer! There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? The Sacred Sunday Posture:  Kneeling “ A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees; if you are willing, you can make me clean (Mark 1:40).” In addition to bowing your heads and closing your eyes, many people learn to “get on your knees and pray.” Often, it’s at night before going to sleep. Parents instruct their children to kneel on the side of the bed and say their prayers. Perhaps you have fond memories of kneeling and reciting the Lord’s Prayer or the 23 rd Psalm. Or maybe you were taught, like me, “Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake. I pray the Lord, my soul, to take. God bless mommy, daddy...” Kneeling is a physical way to revere God as your Creator and remember that God is your Source. “Know that it is the Lord, who is God. It is he that has made us and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture (Psalm 100:3).” Without reverencing and ...

Hidden Treasure: You Are a Vessel, Not Just an Instrument

I AM Not an Instrument. I AM a Vessel “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” – 2 Corinthians 4:7 (KSB) Hidden in Plain Sight The image that Paul presents in 2 Corinthians 4 is that of a treasure hidden within an earthen vessel. In the Old Testament, people didn’t have locks, alarm systems, or cameras to protect their valuables. Instead, their belongings were often left exposed, making them vulnerable to thieves and robbers. To safeguard their most valuable treasures, they would hide them in jars of clay—earthen vessels—placing them in plain sight. A thief or robber would never think to look there because it wasn’t an obvious hiding place. Likewise, God has placed something valuable inside of you—a treasure of great worth. Yet, people often fail to see it. You may be right in front of them, but they don’t recognize your gifts, skills, talents, anointing, abilities, or sensitivities. You are hidden in plain sight bec...
