 Speak to the Mountain

Read – Mark 11:12-25

Scripture: “Truly, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their hearts but believe that what they say will happen, it will be done for them (Mark 11:23).”

Denial: “I release fear. And let go of doubt.”

Affirmation: “My mouth makes miracles.”

Jesus is our Wayshower, our example of what it means to be fully human and fully divine. When we follow his example, we know who we are as spiritual beings. When we walk in his footsteps, we exercise our dominion over nature and take care of the earth (Genesis 2:15). Looking to Jesus as our older brother, empowers us to operate in the specific earthly domain to which we are called.

Jesus used the disciples’ astonishment at his ability to reign in nature as a teaching moment. He confirmed that they also had power to speak to nature. He used the mountain as an example of their authority. He assured them that they had the power to speak to the mountain and cast it into the sea. The only thing stopping them from manifesting that kind of miracle was themselves.

As modern-day disciples of Jesus, our words have power and the only limit to that power is own fear, doubts, and worry. Each of us has an account with the universe. Each time we mean what we say and say what we mean, we make deposit into that account. Each time we use our words loosely, we make a withdrawal from that account. Whenever we are accountable for the things that we have said and done, we get a credit to that account. Whenever we do not take responsibility for our words, our account is debited. When we attempt to speak things into existence and it bounces back, we need to check our account balance. Manifesting miracles, signs, and wonders is the result of building our account with the universe and keeping it in the green.

Reflection Question: What is the current status of your account with the universe?

Why Me? God’s Glory (Romans 8:18) Why? That's a question often in our Souls. Why is this happening to me? Why am I having this experience? Why am I facing this health challenge? There's an answer! Why am I having these relationship challenges? There’s an answer, and it’s the same one. Why am I having this financial challenge? There’s an answer! There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? So God can get the...

There’s a Grace on Your Life

There’s a Grace on Your Life "By grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."    Ephesians 2:8 (KSB)    In Ephesians chapter 2, one word stands out repeatedly: grace . But what is grace? Grace is God’s unmerited favor, His love poured out on us, not based on anything we've done or failed to do. It’s not about what we think or don’t think. It’s simply a gift. A beautiful, divine surprise.  Imagine receiving an unexpected bonus at work, you did your job, and suddenly you're given more than you earned. That’s grace. It comes when you least expect it and fills you with joy and wonder. This is how God extends His grace freely, abundantly, and lovingly.  Throughout Ephesians 2, Paul highlights how grace is woven into our salvation. “By grace you are saved” means you didn’t do it yourself. Salvation is the awakening in your spirit to the truth that  you are God's beloved .   ...

You Are in God’s Will: How to Receive Your Divine Inheritance

You Are in God’s Will: How to Receive Your Divine Inheritance "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance because we were predestined according to the purpose of God, who works all things after the counsel of Divine Will."  Ephesians 1:11    Affirmation: My health is optimal because it’s God’s will that all of my relationships are harmonious.                                                    Ephesians 1:11 reminds us that we have obtained an inheritance through Christ. If earthly parents and grandparents can leave behind an inheritance of tangible and intangible value land, homes, recipes, wisdom, or even prayer, how much greater is the inheritance from our heavenly Father?  An inheritance implies that someone thought of you before their passing, made intentional plans, and had a desire for your future. Similarly,...
