How Long Does It Take to Change a Habit (Luke 4:1)

How long does it take to change an old habit? How long does it take to start a new habit? Some people say 21 days, some people say 30 days, some people say 40 days, and some people say 90 days. But I am going with the Bible because in the Bible, there are several 40-day experiences that cause transformation. For 40 days, God washed out all of the old and brought in all the new.

I believe that over the next 40 days, during this Lenten season, you are going to have a flood of blessings. All that is old, worn, obsolete, and no longer serves you well is going to be washed away. Moses was on Mount Sinai for 40 days, and God gave him the commandments and instructions. I believe that over the next 40 days, like Moses, you are going to be on the mountain and receive instruction, guidance, and direction. For 40 days, the giant Goliath intimidated the children of Israel.

He taunted them until David, after 40 days, took his slingshot with five smooth stones and defeated the giant. I believe that over these next 40 days, you are going to be victorious. Whatever has been the giant in your life, you are going to knock it down, cut its head off, and be victorious. In all these things, we are more than conquerors through God who loves us. Elijah was also on the mountain, on Mount Horeb, for 40 days, where he escaped from Jezebel and Ahab.

He had 40 days of peace and rest. I am prophesying to somebody that these next 40 days will be a time of rest and peace for you. The peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Ezekiel lay on his left side for 40 days and then on his right side for 40 days as a prophetic gesture to prophesy about the children of Israel. I am speaking to somebody that over these next 40 days, you are going to have balance.

Your left side and your right side are going to be balanced. You will not be in extremes but will live a holistically healthy, balanced, and well-rounded life. Can I prophesy to you today that these 40 days are about finding your balance? No longer will you be in extremes. Your life will be balanced, the chemicals in your brain will be balanced, your blood pressure will be balanced, and your diabetes and the way you process sugar in your body will be balanced.

Jesus was in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights, being tempted. He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where everything that needed to come up and out to be healed happened over those 40 days. I am saying to you that whatever is in you that needs to come up and out to be healed is going to be revealed and cleansed over these next 40 days. Issues that you have swept under the rug, things you have buried and not dealt with, will come up and out to be healed. You will have the strength and fortitude to deal with those things.

For 40 days, Jesus was with his disciples after his death, burial, and resurrection. He was with them for 40 days before he ascended. I am prophesying to somebody today that you are getting ready to ascend. You are getting ready to go to the next dimension in your health, relationships, and wealth. Get ready for overflowing blessings and harmonious relationships as you ascend to the next level.

Universe Means One Thing: Love

Universe Means One Thing: Love "For all the law is fulfilled in this one word, love: Love your neighbor as yourself."   Galatians 5:14 (KSB)    Sometimes, the word “universe” can feel mysterious even spooky to some. Others think it's irreverent or sacrilegious when used in spiritual conversations. But what if we redefined it? What if “universe” simply meant love? What if it meant God, since God is love?  When we say, “the universe,” we can think of it as pointing to one word love. Just one word. The entire Bible, composed of 66 books and written by over 40 different authors, ultimately speaks to one central theme: love. From beginning to end, this divine book points us toward loving God, loving ourselves, and loving others.  In the Old Testament, God's people had 636 laws civil, ceremonial, and moral. They guided everything from relationships to religious festivals. But then Jesus came and said, “Let me make this simple Love God. Love yourself. L...

Refocus Your Faith: How to Overcome Distraction, Disappointment, and Discouragement

Refocus Your Faith: How to Overcome Distraction, Disappointment, and Discouragement "For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love."   Galatians 5:6 (KSB)    With everything going on around us, it's easy to feel lost. Distractions come quickly, disappointments pile up, and discouragement sneaks in. We all face these moments. But even when we get off track, there is a way back and that path is through our faith, principles, and core values.  When you live your life anchored in principles, it gives you a compass for when the road gets unclear. Knowing your vision, your mission, and your core values makes it easier to realign when life feels out of control. But if you don’t know who you are, how can you get back to being your best self? If you don’t know what you stand on, what can you stand up on after a fall?    Clarity of purpose keeps you ...

Hidden Treasure: You Are a Vessel, Not Just an Instrument

I AM Not an Instrument. I AM a Vessel “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” – 2 Corinthians 4:7 (KSB) Hidden in Plain Sight The image that Paul presents in 2 Corinthians 4 is that of a treasure hidden within an earthen vessel. In the Old Testament, people didn’t have locks, alarm systems, or cameras to protect their valuables. Instead, their belongings were often left exposed, making them vulnerable to thieves and robbers. To safeguard their most valuable treasures, they would hide them in jars of clay—earthen vessels—placing them in plain sight. A thief or robber would never think to look there because it wasn’t an obvious hiding place. Likewise, God has placed something valuable inside of you—a treasure of great worth. Yet, people often fail to see it. You may be right in front of them, but they don’t recognize your gifts, skills, talents, anointing, abilities, or sensitivities. You are hidden in plain sight bec...
