Lifting the hands

“I desire people everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or doubting (I Timothy 2:8).”

Lifting the hands is a sign of surrender. When an officer arrests a person, the first thing the officer says is, “Put your hands up.” Lifting the hands means that you humble yourself and surrender to the officer’s authority and comply with the legal process. Lifting the hands is a prayer posture that signifies releasing and letting go. Jesus said, “If you humble yourself that you will be exalted, and if you exalt yourself, you will be humbled (Luke 18:14).” The power of lifting the hands is making a conscious choice to humble yourself as opposed to allowing a process of humiliation to bring you to a place of humility.

Prosperity is the One promise for living the one Kingdom Law of Love, following the one Kingdom principle of Divinity (applied through the 7 Kingdom Principles for Divine Living), and living the one Kingdom Practice of Prayer (applied through the 12 Spiritual practices and tools). There are three major areas of prosperity in your life. Health, harmony in relationships, and wealth in your finances are yours and yours abundantly in the Kingdom. When you lift your hands and humble yourself in an area of prosperity, God exalts you in that area of prosperity.

When we humble ourselves in the area of health by taking prescribed medication or supplements or seeking expert medical guidance, God exalts us in that area of prosperity with healing from sickness, pain, disease, dysfunction, and discomfort. When you humble yourself in relationships by asking for forgiveness, God exalts you in this area of prosperity, and you receive harmony in relationships. When you humble yourself in the area of wealth in your finances through tithing and giving offerings, God exalts you in the area of prosperity, and you receive increase, abundance, overflow, and more than enough.

Using the Prayer Tool of Witnessing and Sharing Your Testimony with Others as symbolized by the Measuring Tape, document and share an experience with at least one other person where you humbled yourself by lifting your hands and reflecting on the positive results you manifested.

  There’s a Grace on Your Life "By grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."    Ephesians 2:8 (KSB)    In Ephesians chapter 2, one word stands out repeatedly: grace .
