Glorification

The Kingdom Key of Life & Death

READ | John 12:20-33 “Jesus answered them by saying, the hour has come, that the Son of God

must be glorified (John 12:23).”

Jesus reinforced the Kingdom Key of Life and Death through the illustration of the ear of corn. Unless the corn goes into the ground and dies, it cannot multiply. When the corn lives above the earth,

then it is just one kernel, a seed. Nevertheless, when it is put into the ground and dies, it reproduces itself and becomes a full harvest.

It is only through death that we rise to a new form of life. Jesus used the symbol of the corn to speak about the ending of one form of his life, his earthly existence, and the beginning of another dimension of life, his glorification. Jesus called it glorification because he was returning to the glorious life that he had in the beginning with the Father. God receives the glory out of the events of our lives when we receive the blessing and learn the lessons from all our experiences.

Life is one series of transitions. We transition from a spiritual being to a human being by taking on human form. Within the human form there are various life transitions. When we have experienced all the transitions necessary to fulfill our purpose, we transition from abundant life to eternal life. When we truly understand and embrace

the Kingdom Key of Life and Death, we have no problems letting go of one form of life to receive new life in a greater form. This Kingdom Key empowers us not to hold on to people, places, and things too tightly but to be able to let them go freely knowing that new life is approaching.
