The Kingdom Key of Wise and Foolish

The Kingdom Key of Wise and Foolish

The Kingdom Key of Wise and Foolish is rooted in the Parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25:1-13). Five of them were wise and five of them were foolish. The difference between wisdom and foolishness is preparation. The Kingdom Key of Sheep and Goats is based on the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats (Matthew 25:31- 46). This key illustrates the importance of pastoral care, community service, and outreach.

Loving Yourself through Exercise

Another fuel for the body is exercise. One of the best gifts we can give ourselves is exercise. I find it beneficial for me to exercise in the morning. After giving God the first fruits of my day, I give myself the second fruit, the gift of exercise. Before I can give anything to others, I must give something to myself.

When compared to the spiritual exercises of godliness and contentment, Paul said, “Physical exercise has little value (I Timothy 4:8).” Nevertheless, it is important to get the value that exercise has to offer. Exercising three times a week for at least thirty minutes each time benefits the body through weight management and an increase in the functioning of the cardiovascular system. The adrenaline produced by physical activity also aids in a more restful sleep.

Exercise is excellent for stress-management and anger- management. It also helps us to relax. Physical exercise can also be combined with the spiritual exercises of meditation, affirmations, and scripture quotations. There are so many ways to use exercise creatively in our lives. Exercise not only benefits the body, but it also benefits the soul and spirit.

Why Me? God’s Glory (Romans 8:18) Why? That's a question often in our Souls. Why is this happening to me? Why am I having this experience? Why am I facing this health challenge? There's an answer! Why am I having these relationship challenges? There’s an answer, and it’s the same one. Why am I having this financial challenge? There’s an answer! There’s an answer to every question in your Soul, and the answer is glory. The reason for every experience in your life is so that God can get the glory. The purpose of all our challenges is not to bring us down but to transform us and bring glory to God. Why am I having this test, this trial, this tribulation? So God can get the glory. Why am I experiencing this persecution, this headache, this pain? So, God can get the glory. Why am I witnessing this miracle, sign, or wonder? So, God can get the glory. Why am I having this challenge in my local assembly, in my ministry, in my business, and in my organization? So God can get the...

There’s a Grace on Your Life

There’s a Grace on Your Life "By grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."    Ephesians 2:8 (KSB)    In Ephesians chapter 2, one word stands out repeatedly: grace . But what is grace? Grace is God’s unmerited favor, His love poured out on us, not based on anything we've done or failed to do. It’s not about what we think or don’t think. It’s simply a gift. A beautiful, divine surprise.  Imagine receiving an unexpected bonus at work, you did your job, and suddenly you're given more than you earned. That’s grace. It comes when you least expect it and fills you with joy and wonder. This is how God extends His grace freely, abundantly, and lovingly.  Throughout Ephesians 2, Paul highlights how grace is woven into our salvation. “By grace you are saved” means you didn’t do it yourself. Salvation is the awakening in your spirit to the truth that  you are God's beloved .   ...

Where Is the Love? Learning to Recognize God's Presence Through Galatians 5

Where Is the Love?    One of my favorite duets is by Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack: "Where Is the Love?" It asks, "Where is the love that you said you would give to me?" It's a timeless question and one that’s just as spiritually relevant today.    In Galatians 5 , Paul writes to the churches in Galatia about the contrast between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. He helps believers understand how to discern what’s truly of God. And here's the spiritual compass: love is God's signature . "And envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."   Galatians 5:21 (KSB)    Whatever you do whether it’s cooking a meal or making a major decision ask yourself: "Where is the love?" Is love your motive? Is love present in your tone, your actions, your intentions?  Paul’s letter urges us to determine whether we are operati...
