Prayer Partners

Prayer Partners

“Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20).”

I got introduced to the idea of Prayer Partners at an All- Night Prayer Service at the Holy Name Church of Jesus. After our Friday Night Service, they announced that some of the members of the church decided to spend the night at the church in prayer. As a teenager, I was fascinated by the idea that people were able to pray all night long. I heard of people dancing and partying all night, but I never imagined people praying for such a long time. I called my mom and asked if I could stay at the church and pray till daybreak. She never heard of such an idea either; therefore, she was suspicious and called the church. She confirmed with the pastor that all- night prayer was happening and permitted me to stay.

During All Night Prayer, we utilized many of the prayer postures that previously mentioned: bowing the head, kneeling, standing, and sitting. We prayed individually on our knees. We participated in corporate prayer in a circle, with each person taking a turn praying. We also prayed in pairs of two with a partner. Before we selected prayer partners, the pastor explained the power of agreement.

When you pray with another person, you join forces with them and multiply spiritual energy in a particular direction. The scripture supports the power of multiple persons and declares that one can chase a thousand, but two can put ten thousand to flight (Deuteronomy 32:30). Jesus taught that there is a great power on earth when two people come into agreement about one thing. God promised that if two agree concerning anything that our God would do it for us (Matthew 18:19). God honors unity and harmony so much that when two people from different backgrounds with unique perspectives come together as one, God promises to give them what they desire.

There’s a Grace on Your Life

There’s a Grace on Your Life "By grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."    Ephesians 2:8 (KSB)    In Ephesians chapter 2, one word stands out repeatedly: grace . But what is grace? Grace is God’s unmerited favor, His love poured out on us, not based on anything we've done or failed to do. It’s not about what we think or don’t think. It’s simply a gift. A beautiful, divine surprise.  Imagine receiving an unexpected bonus at work, you did your job, and suddenly you're given more than you earned. That’s grace. It comes when you least expect it and fills you with joy and wonder. This is how God extends His grace freely, abundantly, and lovingly.  Throughout Ephesians 2, Paul highlights how grace is woven into our salvation. “By grace you are saved” means you didn’t do it yourself. Salvation is the awakening in your spirit to the truth that  you are God's beloved .   ...

You Are in God’s Will: How to Receive Your Divine Inheritance

You Are in God’s Will: How to Receive Your Divine Inheritance "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance because we were predestined according to the purpose of God, who works all things after the counsel of Divine Will."  Ephesians 1:11    Affirmation: My health is optimal because it’s God’s will that all of my relationships are harmonious.                                                    Ephesians 1:11 reminds us that we have obtained an inheritance through Christ. If earthly parents and grandparents can leave behind an inheritance of tangible and intangible value land, homes, recipes, wisdom, or even prayer, how much greater is the inheritance from our heavenly Father?  An inheritance implies that someone thought of you before their passing, made intentional plans, and had a desire for your future. Similarly,...
